Kingston Captures South African Airways Open for First Career PGA European Tour Title

Fairhaven, MA (December 17, 2007) - Local favorite James Kingston completed an emotional victory at the South African Airways Open, earning his country's national championship for his first career PGA European Tour title.  Kingston, who relies upon the Pro V1x golf ball, closed with consecutive 71's on the weekend to finish with an overall score of 4-under 278, one clear of the overnight leader who shot a final round 73.

Final round play was suspended for nearly four hours in the morning after persistent rain overnight made the course unplayable at the Pearl Valley Golf Estates.

Titleist was the most played golf ball at the South African Airways Open with 107 (69%) players relying on the Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than four times the nearest competitor with 23.

Kingston is the third player to win with a Titleist golf ball on the 2008 PGA European Tour's International Schedule, as many as all other golf balls combined.  The winner also relied upon Titleist 695.CB irons (3-P) and Vokey Design Spin Milled sand (54) and lob (58) wedges for his success.
