Brand Ambassador Earns First Professional Victory in His Home Country

Ross Fisher

Fairhaven, MA (December 7, 2009) – In a performance fit for a champion, the perseverance of Adam Scott paid off at the Australian Open, where the Titleist Brand Ambassador captured his first professional victory in his home country, and his first of the year with a win at the Australian Open.  Scott, trusting the Titleist Pro V1 golf ball and 14 Titleist golf clubs for his tee-to-green success, finished with a 15-under par 265 total, five shots clear of his nearest competitor.  It marked the 14th career win as a professional for Scott, who has relied upon Titleist for his success since turning professional in 2000.

Although Scott had not performed to his world-class standards for most of the year, he put his season into perspective following his emotional victory.

“I've worked really hard even though the results have not been there all year,” said Scott.  “But it pays off. You've got to stick with it.  This is very, very special to me to win here.  This is going to be very sweet and something I will treasure for the rest of my career."

Scott put Titleist New MB irons in his bag less than a month ago at the Singapore Open and had immediate success, finishing in a tie for 3rd place.  Check out what’s in the rest of his bag below:
