TITLEIST ANNOUNCES 2003 SALES REPRESENTATIVES OF THE YEARRyan Davis, Dan Gilkison and Todd Green Earn Golf Company’s Top Honor
Fairhaven, MA (February 5, 2004) - Titleist, Golf's Symbol of Excellence, proudly announces the selection of Ryan Davis, Dan Gilkison and Todd Green as 2003 Sales Representatives of the Year. With more than 120 dedicated sales representatives across the United States, Titleist has the largest sales force and widest product distribution in the golf industry. The official presentation to recognize the trio for this distinguished honor took place during the Titleist National Sales Meeting in Orlando, Fla. on January 27.
Ryan Davis has been responsible for servicing Minnesota's Twin Cities region with Titleist and Cobra golf clubs since 2000, winning three consecutive Titleist Gold Circle Awards, representative of excellence in annual sales performance. He started his career as a Cobra Golf sales representative covering the Indiana and Illinois region.
In 2003, Davis' territory highlights included an increase in sales across all golf club and golf bag categories. This performance followed an outstanding sales performance in 2002 when he was honored as Titleist's New Breed Sales Representative of the Year, and in 2001 when he was selected as a New Breed Finalist. He has more than doubled the sales volume in his territory over the past three years. Ryan and his wife Jolie reside in Minneapolis and have two sons, Blake and Tanner.
Dan Gilkison has been the Titleist golf ball representative in southern California since 1996. He has more than doubled his territory sales over the past six years, posting the highest growth average in the company during that span. In 2003, Gilkison grew his high volume sales territory once again, earning the 12th Gold Circle award of his illustrious Titleist sales career, including five consecutive, the longest active Gold Circle streak in the company.
Dan began Acushnet Company career in 1988 as a Customer Service Representative in Massachusetts. He became Titleist's first Associate Sales Representative when he joined his father John, a 33-year Titleist Sales Team veteran before retiring in 2002, in the high profile San Francisco area in 1990. In 1993, Dan was among the first Titleist and FootJoy combination sales representatives, based in Boise, Idaho. In 1996, he moved to southern California as Titleist's golf ball sales representative.
Todd Green joined Acushnet Company in 1996 as a Cobra customer service representative. He earned his first sales territory in the South Florida marketplace in 1998 and was selected co-Cobra Sales Representative of the Year a year later. Green remained in South Florida as a member of the Titleist sales force following the consolidation of the Titleist and Cobra sales teams in 2000. Two years later, he accepted the western Michigan territory for which he is currently responsible.
Green grew his new territory by more than a third in 2002 and repeated his accomplishment in 2003. He topped the company's Gold Circle rankings each year. Over the past two years, Todd also has done an outstanding job positioning and growing both the Titleist and Cobra business in Michigan. Todd and his wife Brenda live in Ann Arbor with their son James and daughter Gabrielle.
