Two Models Played with Success across Worldwide Professional Tours Prior to Market Introduction

Fairhaven, MA (May 17, 2004) - Scotty Cameron by Titleist putters are tour-proven, precision instruments of uncompromised feel, looks and performance. Notably prominent on all the worldwide professional tours, including usage by nearly half of all PGA TOUR players, Scotty Cameron by Titleist putters offer competitive golfers a wide variety of options based on feel, profile and performance. For the past seven years, Cameron putters have been the top choice of more players and more champions on the U.S. PGA Tour than any other. As a market leader in the premium putter category, Titleist further solidifies its high performance product offering with the introduction of the new Scotty Cameron by Titleist Red X and Red X2 putters. Born in the state-of-the-art Cameron Putter Studio, Master Putter Designer Scotty Cameron created the Red X putter line using input and feedback from the world's best golfers with whom he spends an extensive amount of time both on Tour and in his Studio.

"The addition of the new Red X putters to the Scotty Cameron line provides serious golfers with four great putter families from which to choose," comments Chris McGinley, Vice President of Golf Club Marketing, Titleist. "From the contemporary heel-toe weighted Studio Stainless, to the traditional blade-like Studio Design, to the classic mallet-shaped Red X, to the extreme high-tech performance of the Futura, the Scotty Cameron by Titleist franchise offers an unmatched choice of putters with high performance shapes and styles."

Both new high performance Red X models feature a clean shape and profile, a milled Studio Stainless Steel body, and clear anodized aluminum sole plate. The primary performance feature is a soft face insert made of precision milled German Stainless Steel surrounded by vibration absorbing elastomer material, and supported by a cushioned pad for a soft, solid feel. The sole is drafted with slight negative bounce allowing the putter to sit squarely without any face closure. The top line slopes up to create a high toe feature to help ensure the putter is soled with the proper loft and face angle. Typical mallets are designed with a flat toe causing most players to tilt the toe up at address and inadvertently close the face.

The Red X model features a clean looking single bend shaft design. The shaft bore is angled toward the face and heel to produce one-half shaft diameter of offset that enhances the look and inspires confidence at address. The Red X2 is a straight center shaft configuration with the bore positioned slightly towards the heel so the shaft points at the center of the putter face for a superior look at address. The Red X2 also features three red dots on the heel side of the topline to help produce a square set-up position.

Aesthetically, a large, bold red X complements the industrial machined look of the sole. The sole also identifies the model, weight and material used to make the putter.

"Red X putters combine the size and shape features of the best mallets of the past with design, material and appearance lessons learned through working with tour players at the Putter Studio," comments Master Putter Designer Scotty Cameron. "The premium German Stainless Steel face insert surrounded by soft elastomer, in combination with the high toe profile and flowing shaft bend, creates a precise look and desirable feel. Even more importantly, the look and feel of the Red X designs instills confidence at address."

Red X and Red X2 putters have been in the bags of more than 20 different players on the PGA Tour since being introduced at the WGC Accenture Match Play in late February. Immediate success followed as one player achieved a third place finish the first week it was available. Three Red X players finished among the Top 10 at the Bay Hill Invitational, one of whom followed it up with another Top 10 finish at The PLAYERS Championship. Another player posted a fourth place tie at the Masters.

Red X putters are available stock in lengths of 33, 34 and 35 inches in right hand. The Red X model is available in 35 inches in left hand. The 33 and 34 inch left hand lengths in the Red X model are available through Titleist Custom. The Red X2 models is not available in left hand. Each putter has 71 degrees of lie and four degrees of loft and includes a red Cameron Baby T grip. Accessorized by a black Red X headcover with silver and red highlights and Scotty Cameron Pivot Tool, the new Red X putters are a worthy addition to the premium, high performance Cameron line.

The Scotty Cameron by Titleist Red X and Red X2 putters begin shipping to golf shops in June with a suggested retail price of $285.
