292 of 312 Players Rely Upon Titleist Golf Balls. The Overwhelming Favorite Across Driver, Iron, Wedge and Putter Categories.
Fairhaven, MA (August 18, 2004) - As the country's top amateurs gathered at Winged Foot Golf Club this week to compete for the national championship, 292 players in the field of 312, over 93 percent, made Titleist their overwhelming #1 golf ball choice, compared to just 8 players for the nearest competitor. The U.S. Amateur continues the golf ball momentum Titleist has enjoyed on the 2004 PGA Tour and all of the worldwide professional tours, at the PGA Club Professional Championships, and at every level of competitive amateur golf.
In addition to being the top choice in golf balls at the U.S. Amateur, Titleist is also the favorite among more players in the driver (165), iron (104), wedge (276) and putter (132) categories. Proof, once again, at events where endorsement money is taken out of the equation, Titleist is indeed, Golf's Symbol of Excellence.
