Build Healthy Knees with Former Major League Baseball Pitcher Tom House on ''Golf Fitness Academy presented by Titleist''
On this episode of Golf Fitness Academy, co-hosts Dr. Greg Rose and Dave Phillips welcome back Tom House, a former Major League Baseball pitcher and co-founder of the National Pitching Association, to demonstrate exercises that will help build strength and flexibility in the knees.
Requiring only a chair, House takes viewers through three programs with varying degrees of difficulty to ensure golfers play pain and injury free whether they already have, or are trying to prevent, knee injuries.
After discussing the importance of loosening up, Tom walks Greg and Dave through three programs - an Assisted Program, using a chair for support; a Body Work Program, using body weight for resistance; and an Advanced Program.
The episode also features several quick Performance Tips to help build healthy, strong knees for your overall fitness and golf game.
"Knees" will air Monday, May 8 at 8:40 p.m. EDT on The Golf Channel. It will re-air May 9 at 1:13 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Filmed at the state-of-the-art Titleist Performance Institute in Oceanside, California, the 2006 series will feature Titleist-affiliated tour and club professionals, as well as special guests from the golf and fitness communities.
