Twice as Nice

Cindy Bryniarski and Teresa Price record back-to-back hole-in-ones.

From Fal Wood, Head Golf Professional, Dalton Ranch Golf Club (Durango, CO):

"On July 12, 2006, four of our members - Cindy Bryniarski, Teresa Price, Sally Miller and Dolly Turner - were playing the second day of the Ladies Invitational at Pagosa Spring Golf Course in Pagosa Springs, Colorado.  Six shots behind to start the day, they were anxious to build momentum early in the day to climb back into contention.  The second hole on the Ponderosa course is a 100-yard par-3 and, after Sally and Dolly hit great shots to the green, the group was in a good position to make up some ground."

"Teresa was third to play and, using a Titleist NXT, hit a beautiful shot right at the flagstick.  A few hops and Teresa had her second career hole-in-one!  With pressure pretty high throughout the tournament, especially during the final day, you can imagine the wild celebration that ensued.  With Cindy still to play, however, the group tried to remain as calm and quiet as possible.  No need to remain quiet for too long, however, as they soon had another reason to celebrate."

"Standing over her Pro V1, Cindy, the Colorado Women's State Senior Champion, asked how she was supposed to follow a hole-in-one, to which Teresa responded "just put it on top of mine!"  As a side note, it's estimated that the odds of two players recording back-to-back hole-in-one's on the same hole are around 17,000,000-to-1."

"Well, Cindy and Teresa beat the odds when Cindy, literally, put her ball on top of Teresa's at the bottom of the cup for back-to-back aces.  This kicked off a celebration that, according to other players, could be heard all over the course.  And the party didn't stop there.  Thanks in part to the gross 2 the team recorded on the hole, they went on to win the Championship Flight by two shots."

"Needless to say, there was a lot of celebrating and congratulating in the clubhouse after the round and Cindy and Teresa made good on the tradition of buying drinks for recording a hole-in-one. Another advantage of sharing a moment like this, is sharing the bar tab for the more than 100 tournament participants!"

"With all four women playing Titleist golf balls, Titleist will be the #1 ball for this group for many years to come!"

Fal Wood
