Titleist Brand Ambassador Scott Piercy (Pro V1x) captured the Barbasol Championship on Sunday for his third career PGA TOUR title, closing with a 6-under-par 65 to post a 19-under-par 265 victory total.

"I just knew it was a matter of time coming back and it's been a long road,” said Piercy after the win, referring to elbow surgery he underwent early last year.

“My whole goal after coming back from surgery was to come back better… I struck the ball beautifully all week and made enough putts to get it done.”

Three players tied for third place at the Grand National Course on the Robert Trent Jones Trail, including Pro V1x loyalist Whee Kim.

STATISTICALLY SPEAKING: Piercy hit 17 of 18 (94%) greens in regulation on Sunday and finished tied for first on the week by hitting 63 of 72 (87.5%) over the four rounds.

Keith Reese, head professional and general manager at Valhalla Golf Club, is a dedicated PGA professional who is committed to growing the game and helping golfers find more enjoyment in every round they play.

Helping people to enjoy themselves is a constant theme for Keith and his staff, and it’s this vision that guides their efforts on a daily basis.

“We’re here to make the game of golf fun and to make it enjoyable for our members and guests,” said Keith.

“We want to encourage them to learn golf and learn to hit the ball better… but to get out and play the golf course is what really we want everyone to do because that’s where you get the enjoyment."

And for the staff at this esteemed club in Louisville, KY that has played host to the PGA Championship and Ryder Cup, it’s also about helping golfers get a little creative on how they approach a round of golf.

“We encourage them to play from the fairway if they want, play from shorter tees, play from the 100-yard markers,” added Keith.

“Just make it fun.”

Thank you for all that you do to grow the game, Keith. And thank you for being a part of Team Titleist.
