One of the PGA Tour’s oldest tournaments, the Wyndham Championship, is underway and players look to make a final push before the FedExCup Playoffs.

It’s a crowded leaderboard already as players take on the Donald Ross design of Sedgefield Country Club, in hopes of collecting a victory as summer comes to an end.

Take a look at our gallery above for the action earlier in the week and good luck to #TeamTitliest this weekend!

TITLEIST BY THE NUMBERS

Titleist is the top choice at the Wyndham Championship with 100 players in the field trusting a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success. That's five times the nearest competitor with 20 and more than all competitors combined.

Titleist also led the field in the iron (42) category, Vokey Design wedges topped the approach, sand and lob wedge (162) category and Scotty Cameron putters were the top choice in the putter (57) category.

The 115th United States Amateur Championship is underway at Olympia Fields Country Club, where the finest amateur golfers in the game are battling through 36 holes of qualifying medal play. The top 64 finishers from this group will then advance to match play, where a champion will emerge after six rounds of head-to-head competition.

This year, among the field of 312 golfers looking to claim top amateur honors, 234 players are trusting Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls for their success. That's more than five times the nearest competitor with 40 and three times all competitors combined.

Titleist also leads the field across most major club categories including fairway metals (120), hybrids (101), utility irons (38) and iron sets (113). Titleist Vokey Design wedges also topped the approach, sand and lob wedges (440) category and Scotty Cameron putters (127) were the top choice in the putter category.

It's sure to be an exciting weekend as the action unfolds, final matches are decided and one amateur raises the Havemeyer Trophy, earning the distinction of forever being known as a major champion.

FUN FACT: The U.S. Amateur Championship is the oldest golf championship in America, one day older than the U.S. Open. The first U.S. Amateur Championship was contested in 1895 at Newport Country Club in Newport, RI.
