Team Titleist is coming to you from Memphis, TN – the home of Graceland, Beale Street and Sun Records.

The weather conditions were perfect early in the week, as 156 of the best players in the world arrived at TPC Southwind to tee it up for the 2013 FedEx St. Jude Classic. The field will be battling it out this week for a shot at the trophy and an invitation to next week’s U.S. Open.

And with a chance to earn a spot in the season’s second major, 100 players in the field will trust a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success, more than five times the nearest competitor with 17 and more than all competitors combined.

Titleist is also first in the sand, lob and approach wedge (137) and putter (57) categories.

We also had some extra help out on the course and on the range this week as our good friend and Team Titleist member “Memphisunited” snapped some shots to help capture all of the action in his backyard.

So check out the video above to join Titleist Brand Ambassadors Scott Stallings, Jason Bohn, Ben Crane, Martin Flores, Morgan Hoffmann, Jimmy Walker, George Coetzee, and Ben Kohles (among others) inside the ropes and on the range as they prepared for this week's challenge.

Some golfers spend a lifetime on the course and never achieve a hole-in-one. And then there are a lucky few who have multiple aces. But not many of us can say we know someone who has two aces in one round - until now.

Titleist Brand Ambassador Andrew Dodt began his second round of last week's Nordea Masters with a par on the tenth. He walked to the eleventh, stood on the tee, and stared down the pin 175 yards away. A birdie would have been a nice jumpstart to his round. Instead, the 27-year-old Australian holed out for an ace. Dodt birdied the twelfth and added two more birdies to his outward nine to post 4-under par 32.

Any player would be happy with a run like this during a round, but what happened next can only be described as unimaginable.

Following a birdie on the sixth hole (his 15th on the round), Dodt found himself on the seventh tee, playing 208 yards. For the second time in the round, Dodt's Pro V1x golf ball found the bottom of the cup for another ace! He would birdie the final hole of his second round, posting a 7-under 65.

Congratulations Andrew, you and your Titleist Pro V1x golf ball proved that performance defies the odds.

Around the globe Sunday, three players trusted the consistency and performance of a Titleist golf ball to finish atop the leaderboard, earning three more victories for Titleist golf ball players in 2013.

In Sweden, Pro V1x golf ball loyalist Mikko Ilonen amassed 23 birdies and an eagle in four days to enter the winner’s circle at the Nordea Masters, fending off Pro V1x golf ball loyalist Jonas Blixt and Titleist Brand Ambassador Bernd Weisberger, who finished second and third respectively. For his fourth career senior circuit victory, Pro V1 golf ball loyalist Russ Cochran held off late charges from Pro V1x golf ball loyalists Mark Calcavecchia and Kirk Triplett to win the Principal Charity Classic. And in Korea, Pro V1x golf ball loyalist Soo-Min Lee outlasted Pro V1 golf ball loyalist Kyung-Nam Kang to win the GunSan Open.

Adding three victories to the tally, Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf ball loyalists have now won 64 tournaments on the worldwide professional tours in 2013, more than three times the nearest competitor with 18 and more than all other competitors combined.

This is Team Titleist, let’s wrap-up the week…

EUROPEAN: Nordea Masters

Winner: Pro V1x golf ball loyalist Mikko Ilonen

After a sizzling 7-under par 65 on Saturday, which included five birdies and an eagle, Ilonen began Sunday two shots clear of the field. Mikko then birdied the second and third holes en route to an opening nine of 34. He birdied 11 and 13, and with no challenger within reach, cruised comfortably into the winner’s circle at Bro Hof Slott Golf Club in Stockholm.

The Nordea Masters hits close to home for Ilonen, who hails from Finland. “It’s pretty special. I could feel a lot of support from Finland, especially today," said Ilonen in an interview.

Titleist golf ball loyalists accounted for 103 of the 156-player field, over four times the nearest competitor with 25. Six of the ten players who finished among the top 10 and ties relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success.

On his way to the winner’s circle, Ilonen fired a 9-under par 63 Friday, which tied the low round for the week with Pro V1x loyalist Peter Whiteford (T14), who’s 63 also came in the second round.

Ilonen’s 2013 campaign includes two runner-up finishes, most recently in early May at the Volvo China Open behind Titleist Brand Ambassador Brett Rumford.

“To bounce back this soon is really good,” Ilonen added. “It’s really satisfying, but the show I saw in China - I didn’t lose the tournament, Brett won it, so hats off to him.”

Next up for the European Tour, Ilonen and Titleist Brand Ambassador Bernd Weisberger will return to Diamond Country Club in Austria, the site of his Bernd’s first career victory at the 2012 Lyoness Open.

Cochran began the day two shots off the lead, but his final round was sparked by three birdies in the first five holes, and he surged to the top of the leaderboard with a final round score of 5-under par 67.

''I didn't really expect to win,” Cochran told reporters. “But I knew I could compete and get in contention. Of course, when you do that, sometimes good things happen.”

The left-handed Cochran finished at 11-under 205 at the Wakonda Club in Des Moines, Iowa.

Titleist golf ball loyalists accounted for 67 players in the 81-player field, over 13 times the nearest competitor with 5.
