Many of the game’s champions from the past few decades have assembled this week in Omaha, Nebraska for another shot to take home a major trophy at the U.S. Senior Open Championship.
Omaha Country Club plays host to this year’s championship and the field of 156 players will no doubt face a challenging test. And when facing this challenge, 117 players will be trusting Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls – more than 7 times the nearest competitor with 16 and more than all competitors combined.
Titleist is also the top choice in the iron sets (46), sand, lob and approach wedges (131), and putter (36) categories.
This is also a special week for a number of Titleist Staff Members and PGA Professionals who qualified for this National Championship. Congratulations to the following staff members on this significant accomplishment and career milestone.
>> David Carich of Noblesville, IN (The Bridgewater Club)
>> Dennis Dolci of Sharon, PA
>> Lee Houtteman of Glen Arbor, MI
>> Bill Loeffler of Castle Rock, CO (The Links)

How many times have you faced a 40-yard pitch shot?
This is a pretty common shot for most of us at Team Titleist, and on paper, it should be an easy shot to execute.
And sure enough, these are the shots that usually determine if you'll steal a birdie, save a par, or mark a square on the scorecard.
Well, we've enlisted Titleist Brand Ambassador (and defending champion of this week's John Deere Classic) Zach Johnson to share some pointers on how you can hit this pitch shot closer to the hole, and lower your scores.
Check out the video above and let us know how you like to control your pitch shots? Do you pull a different Vokey wedge out of the bag? Adjust your swing, move the ball position or is it something else?
Share what works for you with the rest of Team Titleist in the comments below.

The top five finishers at The Greenbrier Classic, including winner and Pro V1x loyalist Jonas Blixt, all relied on a Titleist golf ball for their success at The Old White TPC.
And with 156 players competing for the prestigious Springhouse trophy and Greenbrier green jacket, 107 players trusted a Titleist golf ball, nearly 6 times the nearest competitor with 18.
With two more wins, Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf ball loyalists have now won 77 tournaments on the worldwide professional tours in 2013, nearly three times the nearest competitor with 28 and more than all other competitors combined.

PGA TOUR: Jonas Blixt began Sunday 10-under par, four shots back. After posting a 2-under par 33 on the opening nine holes Sunday, Blixt still sat two shots off the lead. Blixt was persistent as the sun began to set, and played the final five holes 1-under par to cap off his come-from-behind victory.
''This is what I play for,'' Blixt said in an interview. ''I play to win. It just confirms that if you do the right things, that you work hard, dreams can come true.''
Filling out the all-Titleist top five, tied for second two shots behind Blixt, were Brand Ambassadors Matt Jones (Pro V1x) and Jimmy Walker (Pro V1), and Pro V1x loyalists Johnson Wagner and Steven Bowditch.
With his second career PGA TOUR win, Blixt earns an invitation to the 2014 Masters.
With a T-2 and his current FedExCup point ranking, Walker, who was playing prototype irons Titleist MB irons and a new Scotty Cameron Futura X putter for the first time this week, also earns an invite to Muirfield in less than two weeks.
“Yeah, that's great,” he said after the round. “I've never played the British. I hear Muirfield is pretty awesome, so I'm excited. I'll get ready.”
PGA TOUR CANADA:
Pro V1x loyalist Wil Collins shot a final round 6-under par 66 to capture the Dakota Dunes Open, his first PGA TOUR Canada victory. Collins, playing among the field of 156, headlined a group of 100 players who relied on a Titleist golf ball in pursuit of the victory.

Everyone here in Team Titleist can relate to the following scenario:
You stripe a drive down the middle of the fairway, and you're feeling great. Arriving at your ball, you see you're inside the 150-marker and looking to make birdie.
But, the yardage is between clubs. Do you baby a 9-iron, punch your pitching wedge or flush a gap wedge?
In the following video, Titleist Brand Ambassador Martin Flores shares his on-course strategy for controlling the distance of his Pro V1x golf ball with his Vokey wedges. Martin uses the guidelines of an "armpit to armpit swing" or a "shoulder to shoulder swing" to cue his swing to hit the ball either 130 or 120 yards, respectively.
What method do you like to use to control distance to stick your Titleist golf ball close? Is it swing length, speed of your swing, shoulder turn, wrist hinge, or something else?

Excellence isn’t defined by one round or even one season. It’s a commitment to being the best player you can be shot after shot, and year after year. Relying on the Pro V1x golf ball and a complete bag of Titleist equipment for his tee through green success, Brand Ambassador Bill Haas earned a three-shot victory at the prestigious AT&T National. He is one of just four players on the PGA Tour with at least one win in each of the last four years.
In addition to Bill Haas’ success on the PGA Tour, Titleist Pro V1x loyalist Kenny Perry had a breakthrough performance, recording his first career major at the Constellation Senior Players Championship. It took an extra day and one extra hole on the Web.com Tour, but Titleist Brand Ambassador Ben Martin relied on the Pro V1x and a bag full of Titleist equipment for his victory in a four-player sudden death playoff. More performance, more wins, more trust. It’s why the overwhelming majority of across the world’s professional tours trust Titleist.
With three more wins, Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf ball loyalists have now won 76 tournaments on the worldwide professional tours in 2013, nearly three times the nearest competitor with 25 and more than all other competitors combined.
PGA TOUR: Of the 132-player field, 85 relied upon Titleist golf balls, over five times the nearest competitor with 16. In fact, Haas, who closed with a 5-under par 66 for a 12-under par 272 victory total, topped a leaderboard that included nine Titleist golf ball loyalists among the 12 players who finished in the Top 10 and ties. It marked the fifth career PGA Tour title for Haas.
What’s in Bill Haas’ Bag?: Pro V1x golf ball, 913D2 driver (8.5º), 913Fd fairway metal (15º), 913H hybrid (17º), CB irons (3-PW), Vokey Design Spin Milled sand (54º) and SM4 lob (60º) wedges, Scotty Cameron Newport 2 Midslant putter.
Titleist Pro V1x golf ball loyalist Roberto Castro finished solo 2nd, three shots behind Haas, while Titleist Brand Ambassador D.H. Lee (Pro V1x, 913D2 driver 913Fd fairway metal, 910H hybrids, CB irons, Vokey Design SM4 gap and prototype lob wedges, Scotty Cameron Newport SLT T10 putter) tied for 3rd, another shot back. Lee made nine birdies to match a tournament-best 64 on Sunday. The performances marked the best career PGA Tour finishes for both players.
Noteworthy: Haas has a PGA Tour-tying seven top 10's in 16 starts this year, which also equals his own career high from 2011 … Statistically, Haas led the field in Birdies (25) and tied for 4th in Greens in Regulation (76%) … On the green, trusting a Scotty Cameron Newport 2 Midslant putter that he put in play for the first time this week, Haas was 2nd in Strokes Gained – Putting (2.498) and Putts Per Greens in Regulation (1.564).
