While weather and playoffs provided extra suspense this weekend as professionals vied for a top spot on the world's major tours, the trust in a Titleist golf ball proved again superior. Across the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tours, a cumulative 195 players relied on a Titleist golf ball for their success, compared to the nearest competitor with 19.An overnight rain delay yielded only one hole of sudden death playoff action, as Pro V1x loyalist Ryan Moore's 5-foot birdie putt sealed victory at the CIMB Classic in Kuala Lumpur. In an all-Titleist golf ball playoff on the Champions Tour, Kenny Perry (Pro V1x) made a 10-foot birdie putt on the first hole to top Bernhard Langer (Pro V1) to win the AT&T Championship. And in Japan, Titleist Brand Ambassador Daisuke Maruyama (Pro V1x) trusted his Pro V1x golf ball and new Titleist AP2 irons (714) to a three-shot victory, the third of his Japan Golf Tour career. Nine of the 11 players who finished among the Top 10 and ties relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success. Of the 81-player field, 61 players relied upon Titleist golf balls, more than eight times the nearest competitor with 7.
