The PGA Tour travels to the Buckeye State this week for the 39th playing of The Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio. Stretched out to 7,366 yards, the course will present a stern test for the players who have earned invitations to the prestigious event.

This week at The Memorial, 73 players in the field will trust a Titleist golf ball for their success, more than five times the nearest competitor with 14 and more than all competitors combined.

Titleist was also the top choice among players in the iron (30), sand, lob and approach wedge (120) and putter (42) categories.

Good luck to all of #TeamTitleist this weekend!

In this tip, Titleist Brand Ambassador John Hahn (a two-time All-American golfer at Kent State University and European Tour rookie) talks about the key features of helping golfers become better ball strikers. John talks about keeping your swing simple and focusing on a critical piece to building a solid swing… making a complete shoulder turn.

“Making a shoulder turn is one of the most vital pieces of the golf swing,” John explained. “It’s going to allow your scores and your ball striking to become more consistent day in and day out.”

Another key that John shared with us is to focus on using the big muscles to swing the club. Inconsistency arises when players try to steer the club with the smaller muscles of the hands and arms.

It was another solid weekend of golf for Titleist Brand Ambassador Adam Scott as he earned his 11th career PGA Tour title at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. After carding back-to-back rounds of 4-under 66 on Saturday and Sunday, Adam moved up the leaderboard and found himself in a sudden death playoff with fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Jason Dufner.

After matching scores on the first two holes of the playoff, Adam secured the victory with a birdie on the third extra hole and added the champion’s Tartan jacket to his closet.

"It's so satisfying in so many ways to get it done," Scott said after the victory. "It's a good feeling, and maybe some validation. I certainly didn't play perfect all week, but the way you come back and get it done, and I felt like I certainly played like one of the best players in the world out there on the back nine."

FAST FACT: With the win, Adam became the first player to capture the career “Texas Slam” by winning all four PGA Tour events in Texas. His prior Texas titles came at the Valero Texas Open (2010), EDS Byron Nelson Championship (2008) and the Shell Houston Open (2007).

Congratulations, Adam!

Titleist Brand Ambassador Byron Smith captured his first career victory on the Tour, staging an impressive weekend charge that earned him the title at the Rex Hospital Open. Smith, who shared the 54-hole lead following a blistering 8-under par 63 on Saturday, distanced himself from the rest of the field with a 5-under-par 66 on Sunday that capped off a 16-under 268 victory total.

With the win, Smith jumps to No. 10 on the money list.

Three out of the top four finishers at the event relied upon Titleist equipment from tee through green, as Jin Jae Byun topped fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Yoon Ho Bae 5-and-3 in the semifinal match.
