What you need to know about the Titleist 917 Fairways

Titleist 917 Fairways

Looking to add a new Titleist 917 fairway to your bag? Have questions about the differences between the 917F2 and 917F3 models?

Well, we’re here to give you a closer look at the new 917 fairways and how they're delivering distance and forgiveness for all players from both the tee and turf.

Here’s what you need to know:

There’s a lot of technology under the hood…

The new Titleist 917 fairways feature some new and enhanced technologies to produce an uncompromising combination of distance, forgiveness and trajectory control with tour-preferred looks, sound and feel.

Titleist 917 fairways technology

Beginning with the new SureFit CG feature allows the CG to be moved from a back, heel position to a forward, toe position through interchangeable weights, optimizing spin and launch conditions for every player.

Next, an enhanced Active Recoil Channel 2.0 is an improved channel with elastomer insert for increased speed and lower spin.

A Variable Thickness Face Insert is tuned with ARC 2.0 to deliver greater off-center ball speed for more overall distance across the face.

And finally, our industry-leading SureFit Hosel offers 16 independent loft and lie settings that help create a more consistent and optimized ball flight through precision fitting.

Two models provide two distinct performance choices…

The 917F2 and 917F3 were designed to provide distinct performance choices, particularly in spin and trajectory, for greater fitting flexibility and precise flight and shot shape optimization. Golfers are always telling us they are looking for distance alongside forgiveness, to help lower their scores. That’s why we offered two different profiles with 917F2 and 917F3.

917F2 provides all-around playability with forgiveness and more distance in a larger profile fairway. 917F2 offers more spin and higher launch versus 917F3 for a higher trajectory. (Available in 13.5º, 15º, 16.5º, 18º and 21º lofts.)

917F3 provides versatility with shot control and more distance in a compact profile fairway. 917F3 offers less spin versus 917F2 for a more penetrating trajectory. (Available in 13.5 and 15º lofts.)
