The West Coast swing continues as the PGA Tour heads to scenic Torrey Pines for the 2015 Farmers Insurance Open. With the combination of one of the strongest fields in golf, a historic venue and some of the most scenic views antwhere, this week is sure to offer golf fans a lot of excitement.
The respect and appreciation for Torrey Pines is a common theme amongst the players in the field this week.
"The golf course is one of my favorite courses we play all year. Great memories here, fantastic views and a great layout. It's a very special week for me," said Titleist Pro V1x Loyalist Rickie Fowler.
Waste Management Phoenix Open and Titleist Brand Ambassador Brooks Koepka agrees with Fowler, but also notes the importance of quality ball striking if someone hopes to claim victory.
"It's a beautiful golf course with unbelievable views. Truly one of the best layouts we play all year. It is certainly a ball strikers course, the person who hits it the best will have a great shot" said Koepka.
With many of the top players in the world returning to action, there is sure to be plenty of great golf to watch over the weekend.
BY THE NUMBERS: 2015 FARMERS INSURANCE OPEN
This week at the Farmers Insurance Open, Titleist is the overwhelming golf ball of choice with 94 players in the field trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success. That's more than 4 times the nearest competitor with 19.
Titleist was also the top choice in the approach, sand and lob wedge (153) category.

The global Titleist Tour teams have been hard at work fitting many of the top players in the world for the best combination of 915 drivers, fairways and hybrids for their individual games. The ability to satisfy the long game requirements of our tour staff is an important part of our tour seeding and performance validation process for 915 metals.
Since 915 was introduced, over 100 players have put multiple 915 metals in play, recording 15 wins across six different worldwide tours in the process.
"The performance enhancements to the new 915 metals line have provided our Titleist team on the PGA TOUR more options than ever to fit the wide array of launch conditions and yardage gap requirements of the nearly 50 players we service on a weekly basis," says Chris Tuten, Director of Golf Club Player Promotion.
"Just like no two players' launch conditions are the same, neither are their set compositions. From the two model options in the 915 drivers (D2 and D3), fairways (F and Fd), and hybrids (H and Hd), to the SureFit Tour hosel and 16 different loft and lie settings on each, to the variety of shaft and weight options, there is not a player we cannot optimize with 915."
A closer look at the different combinations of 915 drivers, fairways and hybrids in the bags of some top-ranked Titleist Brand Ambassadors demonstrates the individual nature of set composition and reinforces the need for professionally fit golf clubs.
