The 2014 U.S. Women’s Open is underway at Pinehurst No. 2 and as the field looks to navigate the sandy terrain of this major championship, focus and determination will be required for any player aiming to top the leaderboard.

And once again, Titleist is the #1 ball at the U.S. Women’s Open with 103 players in the field trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success. That’s more than eight times the nearest competitor with 12 and more than all competitors combined.

Team Titleist was on site earlier in the week to catch all of the practice round action, so check out the slideshow above to join us for a little walk inside the ropes.

Good luck to all of #TeamTitleist this weekend!

Last week at Pinehurst No. 2, Titleist Brand Ambassador Erik Compton capped an extraordinary performance in his first U.S Open competition by converting a remarkable up-and-down for par on the 72nd hole to share runner-up honors with fellow Pro V1x loyalist Rickie Fowler.

Team Titleist caught up with Erik at this week's Travelers Championship where he answered a few questions on his experience at Pinehurst, what it's like being a Titleist Brand Ambassador, his affiliation with the Donate Life organization and his goals as he looks ahead to the second half of the 2014 season.

Check out the video above to hear what Erik had to say in this exclusive interview.

The golf world turns its attention to the Sandhills region of North Carolina this week, where the 114th U.S. Open Championship is being contested on the Donald Ross masterpiece, Pinehurst No. 2.

Opened in 1907, Ross said that No. 2 was “the fairest test of championship golf I have ever designed.” Recently restored to reflect Ross's original vision, No. 2 will present a unique challenge to players, who will have to master every phase of the game for a chance to raise the championship trophy on Father's Day Sunday.

And as has been the case at the U.S. Open every year since 1948, Titleist is the overwhelming golf ball of choice with 93 players in the field trusting a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success. That’s more than four times the nearest competitor with 20 and more than all competitors combined.

Titleist was also the top choice among players in the iron (35) and sand, lob and approach wedge (126) categories.

Check out the video above and join us for a tour inside-the-ropes at Pinehurst as we followed players earlier in the week during their preparations for the National Championship.

Good luck to all of #TeamTitleist this weekend!

Reading the breaks and undulations, controlling the speed and getting the ball started on line... these are just a few keys to successful putting week-in and week-out on the PGA Tour.

And when the players arrived to Pinehurst No. 2 for the U.S. Open this week, they knew that the putting surfaces were going to test their mettle and ability to stayed focused on all of these keys.

So we headed over to the practice green to catch up with the Scotty Cameron Tour Reps and take in all of the sights and sounds as players warmed up on the greens. Check out the slideshow above for a glimpse of the action from earlier in the week.
