The PGA Tour heads to Playa del Carmen, Mexico for the OHL Classic at Mayakoba. The 7,039 yard El Camaleon Golf Club at Mayakoba rests along the Caribbean Sea, offering scenic views to players and fans alike.

This week is especially meaningful for Titleist Pro V1x Loyalist Carlos Ortiz. The native of Mexico won last years El Bosque Mexico Championship on the Tour and he is hoping to have similar success in his home country this year.

"Every time I play a tournament it creates interest in my home country and playing in my home country is a dream come true. It's a pretty important week for me," said Ortiz.

This week is also important for players looking to maintain momentum gained from early in the year. Titleist Brand Ambassador Robert Streb has had three top-10 finishes in his last three events, giving him the confidence that he can compete every week.

"(Playing well) raises your confidence, it let's you know you can win at any time," said Streb.

With fantastic views and a quality field, it will surely be an exciting week in Mexico. Good luck to all of #TeamTitleist!

Titleist Brand Ambassador Louis De Jager captured his third career Sunshine Tour crown at the Nedbank Affinity Cup. Jager shot a 12-under-par 204 total to force a playoff with fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Danie Van Tonder.

De Jager trusted his Pro V1x golf ball and a full compliment of 915 metals, Titleist irons, Vokey wedges and a Scotty Cameron putter to birdie his final two holes in regulation and the first two playoff holes to claim the victory.

Let's take a closer look at the winning setup used by Louis this week.

For Titleist Pro V1x Loyalist Bubba Watson it was a weekend that featured a few “firsts” in addition to claiming his seventh career PGA Tour title. It was his first event and first win of the new season, his first win outside of the United States, his first WGC title, and he became the first player to win with the new Titleist Pro V1x prototype golf ball on the worldwide professional tours. It was also his first time playing the new golf ball in competition.

And there was certainly a lot of drama leading up to the win as Bubba came to his final hole of regulation two shots off the lead. Watson was faced with a daunting bunker shot but with one perfect pass through the sand he sent his ball onto the green and watched it roll in for eagle.

"It's one of those things, you always joke about holing it, and then it actually went in. So I didn't know how to react and so I just kind of screamed and I lost my voice a little bit," said Watson.

The hole-out secured Bubba’s spot in a playoff with Titleist Brand Ambassador Tim Clark as both players finished at 11-under-par 277. And for an encore, Bubba converted a 20-foot birdie putt on the first hole of the playoff to end the day in Shanghai.

"It means a lot. To win outside the U.S., that's one of my goals for my career...To win a World Golf Championships, one of our premiere events, and again outside the U.S., this means a lot. This is very special to me"

Bubba also used the new Pro V1x prototype while leading the field in birdies and driving distance, a solid combination when looking to claim victory.

Congratulations, Bubba!

It was an all-Titleist three-man playoff at the Panasonic Open India, where Titleist Pro V1x golf ball loyalist S.S.P. Chowrasia of India prevailed for his third career Asian Tour title. Chowrasia closed with a final round six-under-par 66 to earn a spot in the playoff at 12-under-par 276.

On the South African Tour, Titleist Brand Ambassador Louis de Jager converted an 8-foot putt for birdie on the second hole of a sudden death playoff to capture the NedBank Affinity Cup for his third career Sunshine Tour crown.

To round out the weekend success, Titleist Brand Ambassador Rafael Becker shot a final round 7-under-par 62 to claim the PGA Tour Latinoamerica Alberto do Brazil by three shots.

With another four wins this week, Titleist’s year-to-date victory count advances to 160. That's more than three times the nearest competitor with 42 and more than all competitors combined.

In total, 21,964 players have teed up Titleist golf balls in competition on the 2014 worldwide professional tours, more than six times the nearest competitor with 3,719 and more than all competitors combined.

There are a lot of early season points on the line this week with events on the PGA Tour spanning across the globe and a high-powered field has assembled in Jackson, Mississippi looking to claim the Sanderson Farms Classic title and jump start their 2014 – 2015 campaigns.

The tournament is making its debut at the Country Club of Jackson and players will be facing another stern test on the 7,354-yard layout. Looking to defend his title on the new course, Titleist Pro V1x Loyalist Woody Austin had nothing but positive comments.

"It's a beautiful place, so the greens are extremely nice, really quick. The golf course is in great shape."

Enjoying a homecoming this week, Mississippi native and Pro V1x Loyalist Heath Slocum was always eager for an opportunity to tackle this classic course. This week, he will finally get his chance.

"Yeah, this is one of the courses growing up that I always heard things about, so I just never got to play.  I'm really excited that I get to play it tomorrow," said Slocum.

Slocum also sees this as an opportunity to start building the all important confidence and momentum that is critical to kicking off the long season ahead.

“If you could especially get a winner and get some momentum and get ahead of the field or get ahead of the curve. I think that maybe it will invigorate your off-season.”

With a new course and a strong field, it is sure to be a fun week in Mississippi.
