We’re excited to bring you a first look at an exclusive new series of instructional content designed to help you add a few more shots to your golf game and ultimately improve your scores.

We’ve tapped the vast expertise of a few Titleist Staff Professionals including Claude Harmon III, Martin Hall, James Sieckmann and Mark Blackburn to serve as our instructional guides as they take us along the path to shooting lower scores.

And with the U.S. Open underway at Pinehurst No. 2, we thought it would be fitting to kick-off the series with some advice from Martin Hall on how to approach hitting a recovery shot from out of some pine needles.

Watch the video above as Martin walks us through his strategy and shares some sage advice on how having this shot in your arsenal can help keep the big numbers off your scorecard.

Remember to stay on the lookout for the next release in the 18 Shots series.

The golf world turns its attention to the Sandhills region of North Carolina this week, where the 114th U.S. Open Championship is being contested on the Donald Ross masterpiece, Pinehurst No. 2.

Opened in 1907, Ross said that No. 2 was “the fairest test of championship golf I have ever designed.” Recently restored to reflect Ross's original vision, No. 2 will present a unique challenge to players, who will have to master every phase of the game for a chance to raise the championship trophy on Father's Day Sunday.

And as has been the case at the U.S. Open every year since 1948, Titleist is the overwhelming golf ball of choice with 93 players in the field trusting a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success. That’s more than four times the nearest competitor with 20 and more than all competitors combined.

Titleist was also the top choice among players in the iron (35) and sand, lob and approach wedge (126) categories.

Check out the video above and join us for a tour inside-the-ropes at Pinehurst as we followed players earlier in the week during their preparations for the National Championship.

Good luck to all of #TeamTitleist this weekend!

Reading the breaks and undulations, controlling the speed and getting the ball started on line... these are just a few keys to successful putting week-in and week-out on the PGA Tour.

And when the players arrived to Pinehurst No. 2 for the U.S. Open this week, they knew that the putting surfaces were going to test their mettle and ability to stayed focused on all of these keys.

So we headed over to the practice green to catch up with the Scotty Cameron Tour Reps and take in all of the sights and sounds as players warmed up on the greens. Check out the slideshow above for a glimpse of the action from earlier in the week.
