At Battle Island Golf Course in New York. I scored my first hole in one shot on Hole 6 on Sept 28, 2011. My brother Harry shot first and hit his ball approx. 25 feet to the right of the pin. I chose to use the Titleist Pro V1 ball and my Titleist 8 iron, I hit my shot approx. 10 feet from the hole it bounced about another 8 - 9 feet landing right in the hole. I am very excited that I made this shot!
A group of guys that I go to Scotland with decided to experience Bandon Dunes in Oregon this year instead of a trip to Scotland. We went for the week an played each of the courses at Bandon Dunes Resort.
On Wednesday Sept 28, 2011 while playing Bandon Dunes, we approached the 15th hole. The wind was blowing pretty well and deciding on a club was a bit difficult. Yardage at 133yds and wind at who knows what. I finally decided on my 170yd club and hit it into the wind. The wind pushed it a bit to the left into the hill. After hitting the hill it rolled aggressively to the right and into the hole. The cheers from my foursome were heard all over the course. What an experience.
I now have an ACE, a Double Eagle and great friends to share it with. It doesn't get any better than that.

September 9, 2011 was a very special day. After a business meeting held at the Greenbriar Resort, our foursome played the Old White Course. On Hole #3, selected an AP2 4 iron for a 188 yard shot. My shot was to a pin where you could only see the top third and the flag. My opponent's shot was near perfect and landed 2 1/2 feet from the cup. When we got to the green, only one ball was visible, but it was not mine. My Titleist Pro V1x, #5 was in the jar. When the round was completed, the Greenbriar staff had a small engraved hole-in-one trophy ready to commemorate my accomplishment. Thanks, Titleist!
I shot a hole-in-one at Olympia Hills Golf Club, Shertz, Texas, on Tuesday, 27 Sept. on hole 11, 140 yards, with a Titleist Tour Distance ball. I've been playing golf for 62 years and have a 14 handicap, and have come close before, but this one was a very beautiful first. It was a well hit shot, landed in the middle of the green and rolled about fifteen curving feet into the hole. Cost me 50 bucks in beer, but it was worth every cent.
On Wednesday 9/21/11, I played a round at the Royal Links Golf Club, in Las Vegas. My home course was being reseeded.
When I came up to the 8th hole, the par 3 made as a remake of the famous Postage Stamp par 3 from British Open course, the pro was offering a bet to hit the green, and double any bet. I bet $50.
My GPS showed the distance to the flag was 115 yards, perfect yardage for my pitching wedge. Of course, the shot covered the flag, and disappeared into the cup!! $50 well spent!!
My first hole-in-one in 40 years!
