Hole 16 on Westridge Golf Course in McKinney, TX. I hit a beautiful high draw with my Titleist AP 1 7 iron. The ball hit 3 feet in front of the hole and took one bounce then rolled into the hole. I was very excited when I saw the ball disappear into the hole.
I wasn't feeling up to par and didn't even want to play golf, but my wife persuaded me to play. I wasn't playing well, either, but on the par three fourth hole (playing 171 yards) at our club, I had an unusually smooth swing off the tee. My ProV1 rolled down the middle of the green. We couldn't see the cup from the tee and when we got to the green, I saw two balls on the green and one off. I thought I might have rolled off the back of the green but didn't find my ball there. One of our playing partners looked in the cup and there it was! What a thrill! You never know when it will happen.
Went to the 1st tee had to wait as a family of four was on the fairway ,teed off, second shot gir two putt ,the family was waiting on the 2nd tee box ,the dad asked if i wanted to play through ,not taking very long i teed my ball the cadie said onehundredthirtytwo yards , medium nine iron it was over water a kidney shaped green hole in the small front portion of the green, no practice swing just a little waggle, i swung saw it was headed to the green hurried to pick up the tee glanced up to see the ball hit front edge on the green and bounce up at hit the pin( i heard it clank the pin what a wonderful sound) about one ft. high i asked the gentleman did that go in he said it might have ,i arrived at the geen to start looking around for my titleist prov1 and didnt see it anywhere i glanced at the edge of the water walked towards the cup repaired the large divet four ft. from the cup approached the cup and there it was (GOLD) pulled it out and showed it off to the family on the tee box they were clapping at the lucky shot i had just made
My first Hole-In-One!! Went out to play with my usual Wednesday gals. They had just punched the greens so the front 9 was only playable. Played the front and when we got to the 9th. Hole I shanked the ball to the right. Have been having problems with my irons! The other 3 gals decided to leave after the first 9 because of the punched greens. I decided to stay and work on my irons. Played the first hole by myself then caught up with other friends. Played the nine again with them. Came to the 9th. Hole and said to myself...concentrate on the swing. Hit the ball and immediately said..."I finally hit it straight!!" The 4 of us watched it hit the green and roll towards the hole and disappear. What a thrill!!!! Went into the 19th Hole and saw my husband sitting there so announced "I just got a hole-in-one". Everyone was thrilled for me and their free drink!!! Not bad for a 67 year old!!!
Before going out to play golf, my sister-in-law, who was visiting us and is a non-golfer, requested that I get a hole-in-one for her. I replied that they were few and far between but I was always trying. During my round, I hit a shot right toward the pin on hole 5. Due to a mound in the green, no one in our group saw the ball finish. When we all walked up to the green we didn't see my ball anywhere. After looking around in the bunkers, we finally looked into the cup and found my ball. Later that day when I told my sister-in-law I had done what she asked, she almost fell over with excitement. Now she expects me to get a hole-in-one every time I play.
