Playing in a best ball outing. Hitting it well on the back nine. Got to #15, played many times. Grabbed the TM 6iron R7 and ProV1x. Hit a smooth shot and knew it was good. Matt said, hey, I think it went in. My eyes can't see that far. Three walked up to the hole and peeked in...cocktail please!!!!!!
In April, my wife and daughter went on a Girls' weekend, so my son and I decided a Boys' weekend was in order. We spent the weekend in the Quad Cities and played the TPC Deere Run in Silvis, IL. My drive on hole #16 hit the green and rolled right it. The look on my son's face was priceless! As I'm sure was mine. What a great memory. The good news-bad news was that there was no one in the bar on a cold, windy Friday afternoon for me to buy drinks. Dale Bielema
I was playing a match play in our club's Match Play competition. On #16, I had just lost 3 & 2. So we all teed off on #17 at Rivermont Golf and Country Club, which has about a 45 foot drop from tee to green. Three of us landed on the green; my ball mark was about 12 feet short of the hole, and had rolled in apparently from the left, and was in the back of the cup below the green surface, suspended by the pin. My playing partners were at first more excited than I was, since I had just lost the match. I had also made another hole-in-one two years ago on another hole at Rivermont. Obviously not thinking, I played the same ball on #18 Par 4, past the lake on the left, and parred the hole... A good time was had by all at the 19th hole.....
Hit a Pro V1 to center of green rolled right into the hole.
7 iron to middle of green turned right upon landing went into the hole.
