First Ace

Well, it was a windy day and the 16 th hole at our club ( Blackhawk ) is tough enough across water as it is without the wind straight into you. I would normally hit a 8 iron but chose the 7. I decided the 7 might be to much so I backed away the 2 club lengths from the tee line ( this is TRUE ) and set up with the 7. I made great contact and the ball ( a Pro V1 #3 ) flew perfectly over the water , landed 8 feet short of the pin and rolled up and in !!!!!! This was my first hole in one but my golf buddies were more excited then me, it was great. One guy had his I-phone out and videoed me going onto the green and lifting the ball out of the hole. We were the first group out in the morning so the only disappointment was that there were'nt more people around. But the grounds crew were close by and they gave a big cheer. I finished shooting a 73 , the best score ever at my home course. I got off cheap buying drinks in the lounge because there was nobody around yet but I would have enjoyed it more if the place was packed.
There it is ( I like the part about me backing off 2 club lengths the best )
Thanks for reading this.
