First hole out

This was my second hole in one in fifty years of trying. Interestingly, both came during tournament play. The first was at Bryan Park in Greensboro NC during a state Senior tournament in 1997. I needed a 76 to qualify for the nationals in Tucson Az and made the turn in 43. Made an ace with a 7 iron on the 158 yard par three 12 th and that propelled me to the needed score. The second came in 2012 at The Doug Smith Memorial tournament in Pinehurst. My team was the defending champions and hoped the ace would give us a repeat, however we finished one stroke off the winning score. A lot of close tee shots and several knocked in from the fairway over the years, but the two aces came at critical times in tournament play. Kudos to Titleist and your great golf balls.
