Hole in One

Hole in One

Stepped on the course with my pals on a cold very foggy Sunday morning January. Temperatures were in the low 50's but felt cooler due to heavy fog and previous wet weather. Hadn't played in over a month so I didn't have lots of exceptions to begin with.
Hole no 5 Par 3, 157 but pin tucked in the back right, so I decided to use a longer iron (7i)to compensate for the heavy air and also to carry the sand trap right before the pin. Swing didn't feel any spectacular, in fact club contact felt a bit thin. The ball faded a little as it carried the bunker and I was begging it to 'go, go'...
Walked to green with my foursome but couldn't see my ball although we all thought it was a pretty good shot. Looked at the hole in jest and there it was... Hole in One!!

What a nice way to start off the 2013!!
