Today on the Par 3 5th hole at Prestonwood Country Club's Fairway's course, I hit a 6 iron 174 yards and watched the ball bounce twice on the green and then roll disappearing into the hole. My regular foursome witnessed my first hole-in-one.

In July 1988, I had the pleasure of scoring a double eagle after hitting a 4 wood for my 2nd shot on a par 5. But I had to wait 52 years, since taking up the game at age 11, and 25 years after my double eagle to get my 1st hole-in-one. What a thrill and well worth the wait.
