I joined my local golf course 4 years ago this month and have been an avid player ever since. Although gradually improving I am still a high handicapper. My drive has always been the best part of my game but, over the last 10 days or so, it has almost completely deserted me when playing away.

After a particularly difficult day on Wednesday I went to my driving range yesterday and successfully hit a few balls. Knowing that I was due to play in a singles matchplay knockout tournament today I then went for a practice round. I hit my titelist velocity with my 5 wood which sailed towards the hole and then disappeared. The guy on the second tee came racing up to me with a high five and we both walked towards the pin to retrieve the ball. I was completely amazed! I now have a certificate from my club to prove that I actually did it! In addition I played and won my match today 4 up with 3 to play.

Wonderful.
