Hole-in-one stories

Mike McCoy

I was a last minute fill-in at a Tee it up for life golf tourney to raise money for Cancer research. It was a great day and I am just glad to be playing golf again after having my hip replaced last summer! The hole was a 154 yard par 3 that was playing to about 165. I hit a nice easy 6-iron and it was tracking nice; I saw it hit and then I couldn't see it. My group said it great, but I as worried it went off the back. We got up to the green and looked all over and finally did the long never thinking it would be there ... It was and I got just a little excited! Along with the hole in the one, I also won an iPad mini. Even better, the tourney raised $7,700. Anyway, the wallet opened up and a great time was had!

First Ace

By: kenl78

I've been playing for over 30 years and got my first Ace.

Ironically I wasn't playing very well all day, but on the 12th hole my luck changed.

My Titleist Pro V1 performed beautifully and found the hole from about 125 out using my Pitching Wedge.

Kolby gets his first Hole In One

Kolby got his 1st hole in one today while playing with his older brother Ross and his Dad the caddie. He pulled out his 3 wood on the 6th hole of Lincoln Park's Youth Course and scored the Ace, not bad for a 5 year old. His older brother Ross got his 1st hole in one last year on the same course. What a great day!

Everyone has a chance

As a high handicap golfer (index varies from 16-20) I never expected to make a hole in one. Least of all in a club tournament on the 17th hole at Segregansett Country club. That hole has given me fits over the 12 years I have been a member. An elevated well bunkered green that plays from 130- 165 yards depending on the tee markers.
My 3 teammates and I watched in amazement, as the ball left my 7 wood with a familiar left to right "fade" . The ball landed on the fringe left of the pin and rolled towards the pin as someone yelled "get in the hole". Seconds later the ball hit the pin and disappeared !
If I can do it ANYONE can. Keep playing and someday I may read YOUR story.

Allen City Championship Ace

In the Allen City Championship tournament, on the 139 yard 3rd hole at The Courses at Watters Creek, I had an ace using my Titleist AP-1 9 iron and a Pro V1 ball. Was the highlight of the tournament.
