While I had made a hole in one many years ago, the sun blinded me from seeing the ball go into the hole. On July 13, 2013, the weather was clear and the sun high overhead, so no trouble watching my 9 iron shot go high into the air, with a very slight fade. It landed softly on the green just to the left of the pin and rolled slowly to the center of the pin. It was a fun celebration with my longtime playing partners and it definitely broke open a very tight match in our favor. The hole was number 17 and paring the 562 yard 18th after all the excitement was nearly as thrilling for a great round of 85, the first sub-90 round this year at Stonewall Orchard.
