The Northern California Senior Travel League consists of 11 country clubs whose senior members participate once a month in a stroke play tournament. Each month a different club hosts the event. On Nov. 5th, the host was the Sunnyside Country Club in Fresno. As my group was approaching Hole #5, we heard shouting from the adjacent tee box and assumed a player had made a hole-in-one. My teammates comgratulated me for my "tap-in birdie." I returned to my bag to replace my 9 iron, while the next player was preparing to hit. Before he did so, he exclaimed, "YOUR BALL FELL IN THE HOLE!" We exchanged "high-fives" all around, but I had to share the glory with another competitor in the group in front of mine, who also made a hole-in-one. His first, my fourth. Tom Nast
