My first hole in one

I have been playing golf for 49 years and this was my first hole in one. I was playing in the senior club championship at Bella Collina Golf and Country Club in San Clemente, CA, and the 18 hole rotation was Carnoustie to Muirfield. My hole in one was on Muirfield #7.

Cold windy day. Par 3 over small lake. One good swing. Bingo, straight as an arrow. Landed on the green and rolled about 10 feet right into the hole in full view of myself and the other four members of the group. Other than that moment it was a rather forgetfull round of golf. A sureal moment for sure. 25 years in the making!
all i wanted to do was to hit the middle of the green as i am only a weekend warrior "too expensive". i hit a nice fade with an 8 iron and it went a little too far right for what i wanted to do, as i drove up to the hole i didn't see the bright white ball i had just hit although i did see i divot mark so i then realized that maybe the ball spun backwards and into the hole. i walked to the flag and there it was, so began to run around the green and just could not believe what had just happened.
At 67 years of age, playing golf for 46 years, and retired one year ago yesterday I got my first hole-in-one using a Titleist NXT Tour.
Playing at Laurel Hill in Lorton Virginia on 21 December 2013 with 3 buddies I used a 4-iron on our #8 223yd hole and hit it sweet and on line. Two bounces and rolled right in the hole. My foursome was so loud others on the course knew someone had a hole in one.
Word spread quickly and when I walked in the clubhouse after finishing our 18 I received an ovation.
My Titleist NXT Tour ball is in a safe place and will be on display for the rest of my life.

I have been playing for 20 years this year and finally recorded a hole in one with my Dad in the group to witness it. We were playing with a group of 8 guys and I had to buy the drinks but it was worth it.
