Hole in one at last

Hole in one at last

Playing alone on Oct 3,2014 I caught up to a couple of young ladies on the 9 th hole. They asked if I wanted to play thru and I accepted. I just had 118 yds on the previous hole and hit a 9 iron long and made bogey. The par 3 , 9th was the same direction and I decided to play one club less, hence the PW. The ball was directly at the pin and I said to the the ladies this is going to be close. I thought the ball had stopped and as I put my club away a looked up again and thought the ball rolled off the green. Just to make sure I asked the 2 young ladies if they saw what happened. They said I think it went in! Imagine my excitement, I have been playing golf for 51 years and this was my first HIO. Strangely enought I went in my pocket for a ball and happened to pull out a brand new Pro V1. With a bank logo on it. That ball got hit once, and now sits proudly in the trophy Tsawwassen Springs Golf Club unselfishly provided.
