Hole in one - 18747

We were on a buddies trip to Waynesville North Carolina to play the Waynesville in golf resort and other golf courses in the North Carolina mountains. It was early in the fall and the mountaingolf and changing foliage were a wonderful change from Florida.

We were playing the Laurel Ridge country club. The course is a relatively short 6200 yard course with a lot of elevation changes and a wonderful alternative to normal Florida golf.

Our group consisted of about 24 guys from Florida. We were playing a number of games including a verification variation of Ryder Cup and competitions for closest to the hole.

The organizer of the group neglected to put out the closest to the whole game on number 10 the third part three on the course. In order to have another competition he decided to put out the long drive on hole number 13, 303 yard par four.

Initially I pulled out a rescue club to hit on the whole as it was only 303 yards. However noticing that it was a long drive contest, I went back to the car you got my driver. I wasn't playing well but I thought I'd lease might win the long drive contest. When my turn game I had a perfect drive along the right-hand side of the fairway with the slight draw. Who is clearly the best shot of the day.

Because of the change of typography I could not follow the wall to its final resting point. As I got closer to the green I continued to look for my ball but could not find it. As the others in my foursome came up none of us were able to find the ball of grounds crew member noted that he had seen a ball but did not notice where it ended up. Finally, after several minutes of looking the grounds crew member went to pull out the flag out of the hole and shouted " it's in the hole!"

That's my hole-in-one was not only an eagle - but a double Eagle or an albatross!!!!

My only problem was that I never got to see the ball go in the whole
