I'm playing with one of my favorite friends at Hopedale Country Club.
As we approached the 18th hole, I was kicking his butt in our match.
At Hopedale CC. we call players up to hit if you're on the green and there's
players waiting to hit their tee shots. There was a threesome on the green that
called us up to hit our approach shot to the green. I hit first and at the same time
my friend ( Johnny Laronga ) and I said, " Wow, that looks pretty good ". The ball
was fading into the green, took one bounce and rolled in !!
The players on the green looked up and said, " It's In !! ".
I looked at Johnny and said to him, " I know, we saw this one ! "
He gave me a great big friendly hug and we drove up to the green and I picked
the ball out of the hole.
The funny thing was that Johnny witnessed my first hole in one three years ago on the same hole, but we did not see it go in the hole, Johnny found it in the cup.
I never submitted my first hole in one. Some of my friends at the club, which I belong to at Hopedale told me to make sure I submit this one !
My first hole in one was with a Titleist Pro V1.#7, this one was a Titleist Pro V1X. #3.
