Hole in One @ The Tribute golf course in Dallas TX
By Douglas W On October 31, 2016
Was playing in a scramble tournament and was batting clean up for the team. All three of the other players came up well short as there was a 15 mph wind in our face. The hole was 169yds and after seeing the first three I changed from a 6 iron to a 5 iron. The hit was probably the purest iron shot I had hit all day, the ball never left the flag but we could not see the bottom of the flag due to an upraised bunker lip right in front. But I knew the ball had to be close. When we got to the elevated green we did not see my ball and I thought it must have been short as well and in the bunker. We walked over to the bunker and peered down into it but did not se my ball, the other three balls were visible in the ruff below the bunker. I turned around and saw a ball mark about three feet in front of the pin, and thought darn ! it must have hit there and bounced over the back. As I walked toward the back of the green I went by the hole, and looking up at me was a ball with my marking on it ( in black letters I write " see ya! " on my ball. Needless to say we were all very surprised and of course I was most excited to have my second hole in one. In addition we won the tournament by a stroke at 15 under par. What a great Day !
