Dudley Hart's Bag

Thought you all might enjoy a peek inside Dudley Hart's bag as he prepares for this week's Verizon Heritage Classic at Harbour Town Golf Links. The R.A.R. on Dudley's bag are the first initials of his triplet children - Ryan, Abigail, and Rachel - whose names you may also notice stitched on his putter cover. You'll also notice that Dudley, who was born in upstate New York, is a proud University of Florida Gator and huge Buffalo Sabres fan. Here's what Dudley is playing with this week:

Canadian update from Calgary. A bunch of avid golf fans here in Calgary saw the Golf Channel - Inside the PGA Tour on you this evening. Great comeback last year, congrats. Anyway, so you are a Canadian Open winner, a big hockey fan, and a hockey coach. We have decided to make you an honorary Canadian player (we only have two to cheer for), and we will be watching your season and following you like we follow the Flames. Not the Sabres, we know, but all the same, hockey and golf fans all.

    Calgarians for Dudley Hart.

Hi Dudley--It's Amy Howard from Ft. Lauderdale. I'm one of Suzanne's friends from Christ Church. I just heard about Suzanne and Brenda Burdick and I were trying to find out how to get in touch. Please have her e-mail me when she gets a chance. I'm so glad to hear she is doing better and you are doing great. Amy

    Dudley,

Just wanted to say how much our group enjoyed the 9 holes in Richmond @ John Rollins' gig for St. Joseph's. Good to know you can hang powerfully with abusive teammates; must be the Buffalo in you. I think Irv (older guy) is still talking somewhere. Hope you enjoy your 2 weeks off with your wife and RAR. Thanks for coming down & supporting a great cause. Good luck on the Tour in '08 & on.

    John (yellow VCU Rams hat)

    Dudley,

Thank you for sharing your wife's success regarding her health concerns and recovery on national TV at Pebble Beach. It was great to find out she was a former special education teacher. Here is a website that may be of interest to your wife: mytimeandfreedom.com/DavidBolsega_ss3

    Continued success,

    DB

    Dudley,

I'm Skippy's son-in-law and just heard about Suzanne while watching you kick butt at Pebble! I just wanted you to know my family as well as all of Skippy's wish you, Suzanne and the rest of your family nothing but the best of our prayers! Maybe we'll see you at the Heritage this year!

    Our best,

    The Danns and the Meyers

    Dudley,

It was great to see you back at the Sony. God bless to you and your family. I can't wait to see you in the winner's circle. As a father and a PGA Professional, it makes me happy to see that the PGA Tour has the exemptions in place for a husband and a father to take care of what is truly important. Take these exemptions and make the best of them. You deserve the best!!!

Dudley's wrist is fine, he has been taking some time away from the Tour to help out at home. Look for him to be back on Tour after the FedEx Cup playoffs.

I have been looking for info on Dudley Hart and I can't find any. I was at the Wachovia Championship and followed him until he withdrew. I was speaking to Suzanne Hart and she said he hit a root in Dallas at the Byron Nelson tournament. He was listed in the field the next few events but never teed it up. I am guessing he has had surgery? Is there an update on his playing status? Thanks very much.

    Duds-

There are 14 different clubs in that bag since I saw you last but one thing certainly remains constant. They are all Titleist.

I would recommend only one change however. It's about time that Sebastian the Ibis finally replaces that Al E. Gator, although I suppose you're feeling pretty good about yourself due to those three national championship flukes in a row.

Which one of RAR has the best slapshot at this point?

    GPO

Good catch...that was an oversight on our part. Dudley's Circa 62 No. 2 is now listed above.
