Inside the Titleist Tour Van

Posted: May 15, 2007

Last week from THE PLAYERS, we showed you some of the custom putter covers and grips available in the Titleist Tour Van, as well as the new Tour Van that made its debut in Korea. We thought you might be interested in a closer look at some of the other features of the Van that services the PGA Tour. Hope you enjoy...be sure to let us know if you have any questions! -- Steve Mata

This is unlikely. More likely is that these clubs may be counterfeits. Be sure to always purchase your Titleist equipment from an Authorized Titleist Golf Shop.

I want a 64° Vokey Spin Milled wedge but people tell me it's impossible to get unless you can get it from the Tour Van. Would it be possible to buy from the van?

Odle

Vokey Design wedges are not currently offered in 64° lofts. We do not sell clubs directly to consumers from the Titleist Tour Van.

I have a set of CB irons with no logo on them. They have only the numbers on the sole of the irons with a serial number 1001891 on the hosel of the 6-iron. Are these Tour irons?

Odle

The hosel code you referenced matches a custom club order for 690CB irons. Please consult with whomever you purchased the clubs from to determine what happened to the stampings on the clubheads.

Hello! I am a certified club repair technician and golf equipment nut. I have been involved with the game of golf for almost 20 years and have always searched for the perfect golf job. I am VERY curious to find out how I could obtain a job as a field technician on a tour van. Thanks! Hit 'em well!

Stock Titleist irons are serialized only on the 6-iron, whereas those ordered through our custom department are serialized on each club. It is likely that your clubs are legitimate.

I bought a set of 735.CMs off of Ebay and they only came with one serial number on the 6-iron. The rest of the clubs do not have serial numbers. I went to a golf shop by my house and he had some used Titleist irons of a different model and they to only had the serial number on the 6 iron. My friend's 735.CMs have the serial number on each club. Do you think mine are fake?

Where can I find the small plastic plugs that go into the bottom of the golf club heads? I am replacing the shafts on a set of 735.CMs and would like to have some available in case I need them. Thanks in advance!

Odle

Shaft plugs for finishing thru-bore irons can be purchased from most stores that carry club building or repairing supplies. You can also contact the Titleist Golf Club Repairs department at 1-800-742-7609 for help with getting your 735.CMs re-shafted.
