We recently unveiled our new line of Titleist Advanced Performance irons, and several of our Tour players have already put the irons into their bags. We were able to catch up with a few of these players this week at the Buick Invitational at Torrey Pines, near our West Coast operations outside of San Diego. Be sure to click on the image below to see the complete gallery.

There are no plans to release the 907D4 driver to golf shops.

Prior generations of Titleist irons will leave the line-up as current golf shop inventory levels are depleted. The new Z•B Forged irons are high performance, blended cavity-to-muscle back forged irons with traditional feel, superior looks and shot control for the highly skilled player, and can be considered the next generation blended set in the new irons line-up.
I can't wait to try out the new Titleist irons. Is the head weight and size of the new AP2 irons much larger than the Z•M Forged irons?

How can one purchase the staff bag that is shown on Tour in 2008 with Adam Scott and others? It has some outlines in red on it, not the gray or silver of the older staff bags.

As we've stated in other posts, the new Titleist staff bag will be available in golf shops this spring.

Which wedges are Ben Curtis using? When will they be released in golf shops?

Ben is using prototype Vokey Design TVD wedges. You can read more about them here.

I noticed that the lofts of the AP2 iron are a little stronger than the lofts of the 695MBs I have now. Did Adam Scott have the lofts changed to fit his current iron distances, or do the club dynamics of the AP2 cause them to play similar? Thanks.

Adam's new Titleist AP2 irons are all bent 1° weaker than standard.

I am an 8 handicap player, can I use the new Titleist AP1 or AP2 irons?

Where are the Z Muscle Forged irons actually forged?
JAK wrote on March 5, 2008 at 5:03PM
The new Titleist Z Muscle Forged iron heads are forged in China. The clubs themselves are assembled at our Clubs Assembly Facility in Carlsbad, California.

The new Titleist AP1 irons are advanced performance, multi-material, dual cavity irons providing great looks, feel, shot control and higher flight with forgiveness for the skilled and aspiring player. The Titleist AP2 irons are advanced performance, multi-material, dual cavity, technical forged irons providing traditional solid feel, looks and shot control for the skilled player. We recommend visiting an Authorized Titleist FittingWorks Partner to determine which of the new Titleist irons are right for your game.
Craig, I saw the new bag you're talking about. The 9 1/2'' bag is style S83. I think the 10 1/2'' is style S82. Great looking bags aren't they?

I'm a 2 handicap player, and I play with another manufacturer's irons with regular steel shafts. I want to change to Titleist, but I'm a bit confused about the performance of the Titleist AP2 and Z Muscle Forged. I used to play blade irons, so I don't know if the AP2 irons (with cavity) would be the best option. At the same time, I don't know if the Z Muscle Forged irons' face area is smaller than my current irons. And, even though the offset is quite small, would it favor a draw?
