From The Honda Classic

The PGA Tour moves to the East Coast this week for the start of the Florida Swing at The Honda Classic. We were on-site earlier this week at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and got a chance to work with a number of our full-line Titleist ambassadors on both the practice tee and practice green. Be sure to check out the photo gallery from The Honda Classic.

Zach Back Where it All Started

Zach Johnson tees it up this week at the Honda Classic as he continues to prepare for his upcoming title defense at the Masters, beginning April 10. Zach has fond memories of the Honda Classic, especially the 2004 version which he played during his rookie season on the PGA Tour. His tie for 13th that week was one of two top-15 finishes in the three tournaments he played during the Florida Swing and, in addition to going a long way towards securing his Tour card for the following season, gave him momentum and a sense of comfort that he could succeed on Tour. Johnson won his first tournament, the BellSouth Classic a few weeks later and has never looked back. Check out this Orlando Sentinel article by Jeremy Fowler for the complete article.

We've received several questions and comments regarding the switch to the new Titleist AP Irons by some of our full-line ambassadors, particularly traditional forged blade players like Adam Scott. We decided to go straight to the players to get their thoughts on the new irons. Click on the image below to hear what Adam has to say. For more player videos and information on the new Titleist AP Irons, be sure to check out the Titleist AP Irons microsite.

Zach Johnson Earns New Title

Masters champion, and Titleist ambassador, Zach Johnson has a new title: chairman of the Players Advisory Council. With the polls closing Friday at Riviera, and voter turnout higher than it had been in years, Johnson was elected president by his peers on the PGA Tour. The election means Johnson will move up to the policy board next year. (USA Today)

Titleist ambassador Davis Love III returns to action this week at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am after torn ligaments in his foot forced him to the sideline back in September. Love, who has two career victories at the event (2001, 2003) and finished in the top five last year, talks about the injury and the rigorous recovery program that has him back on the tee in time for one of his favorite events.
