It's good to see DLIII back in action. The Tour is better with him on it. The AP2s seem to be well-received on Tour. They must be wonderful irons. I can't wait until they come out! Sign me up for a set. Thanks again for all the great work you do. Even on the really tough weeks like this one from Pebble.

The new irons look great. I am playing the 695MBs and am wondering if there will soon come a time when I will no longer be able to get replacement irons. What is the most substantial difference between the 695MBs and the Z Muscle Forged irons? Mata, which irons do you play? Your fans demand to know!

Artist-
That time has come. We are currently sold out of 695MB irons, and will not be ordering more. As you'll be able to see when comparing the two heads, the Z Muscle Forged iron's more aggressive Z muscle design increases the amount of weight moved from the heel to the toe to further optimize the center of gravity toward the middle of the club face. Mata, who by the way is an excellent player, tells us that he has traded in his forged muscle back irons for the Advanced Performance of the new Titleist AP2 irons. Here's what he had to say:

I am a +2 handicap, so I consider myself to have a really good feel for clubs. I tried a set of the new AP2 irons about 2 months ago and they haven't left my bag. These are the best feeling irons I have ever put into my bag!

What is the most common steel iron shaft brand on the PGA Tour? How has Project X been accepted? Do the Tour guys use standard or flighted version in Rifles?
JET wrote on March 3, 2008 at 11:03PM
The most common steel iron shaft on Tour is still the True Temper Dynamic Gold with about 50% of the players using this shaft. Project X has been readily accepted, with 20% of the Tour now using this shaft. This number is on the rise, with many former Rifle players moving into the Project X. Almost all Tour players use the standard version of the Rifle shafts.

With that being said, which frequency or flex do those touring pros use in the Project X (iron shaft)?

6.0 or 6.5, for the most part.

I was wondering if Titleist is still selling the 660 irons. I saw them in the archive and they look to be the ideal club. I've been asking around golf shops but no one has them. Can you help me out?

660s are still available for custom order through an Authorized Titleist Golf Shop.
