Wagner Wins Shell Houston Open

Titleist ambassador Johnson Wagner earned his first career PGA TOUR victory and his first invitation to the Masters Tournament with a wire-to-wire win at the Shell Houston Open. The 28-year-old Texas native closed with a 1-under 71 to finish at 16-under 272, two shots clear of two players. Johnson credited his recent switch to the Titleist Z Blend Forged irons as one of his keys to victory. This week, Titleist ambassador Steve Stricker returns to the tournament that gave him a sponsor's exemption in 2006 when he was ranked 331st in the world. It was at the Shell Houston Open that year where Stricker finished third and began a comeback that has vaulted him to as high as No. 4 in the World Rankings.
