Cameron Putters Enjoy Tremendous Tour Success in 2008

Posted: September 18, 2008

For more than a decade, Scotty Cameron by Titleist has been the most played putter brand on the PGA Tour. Cameron putters are #1 once again in 2008, with 36% of the putters in play on Tour year-to-date according to Darrell Survey. Success doesn’t stop with the weekly equipment counts, though. Across the worldwide professional tours, Cameron putters have been the champion’s choice at 57 events leading up to this week’s Ryder Cup. Eighteen of the victories have come on the PGA Tour, including the year’s first two major championships. Working with the world’s best players at the Putter Studio in California and on the practice putting greens at Tour events around the world serves as a proving ground for Scotty’s creations, and success at this level validates that these putters are ready for better players everywhere. With that in mind, the Studio Select putter family expanded this week with the introduction of four new models. The Fastback 1, Squareback 1, Newport 2.6 and Newport 2.7 extend the number of Studio Select putters to eight. All eight models have been used and validated at the highest levels of competition. The Fastback model has already been trusted by 20 players on the PGA TOUR, including the winner of the U.S. Bank Championship. In addition, Titleist brand ambassador Brendon de Jonge is currently #1 on the Nationwide Tour money list and has secured his 2009 PGA TOUR card based on his performance. Relying upon the Fastback, de Jonge has posted five Top 5 finishes, including a victory at the Xerox Classic. An additional 20 players have put the Squareback into play this season, including Titleist brand ambassador Dudley Hart, who earned his way into the TOUR Championship after finishing 2nd with it at the BMW Championship. For more information on the new Studio Select putter models, please visit Titleist.com and ScottyCameron.com.

Adam Scott Expands His Charity Foundation to Asia

Posted: September 11, 2008

Titleist Brand Ambassador Adam Scott announced the expansion of his charity foundation to Asia on September 10. The Adam Scott Foundation Asia has been established to create a long-term sustainable organization that will support and offer opportunities to young people in Asia. Based in Singapore, it will be an extension of his foundation that was established in Australia in 2005.

"As I travel the world playing professional golf and getting to live my dream, it became apparent to me how fortunate I was to be offered the opportunity of following my chosen career path," said Scott. But not everybody has that fortune. I believe that the giving of an opportunity may be one of the greatest gifts of all. That is why I set up the Australia Foundation in 2005, and wish to expand my charity now to Asia."

The Adam Scott Foundation Asia will aim to support disadvantaged and underprivileged youth by providing opportunities to fulfill potential or overcome difficulties throughout life's journey. The Foundation will provide grants and undertake special projects in support of strong charitable organizations to promote health, lifestyle and education while drawing on the community philanthropic spirit.

For more information on Adam Scott and his Foundation, please visit www.adamscott.com.au
