Recently, we had the good fortune to spend some time with a highly regarded member of the Titleist family. Jim Gormley is the Head Golf Professional at Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes, CA. Jim is also a member of the Titleist Advisory Staff, a group of leading PGA golf professionals that provides us with insight into the golf industry as well as invaluable strategic guidance and product development feedback. We met with Jim at Palos Verdes GC, a beautiful eucalyptis-lined course situated in the dramatic coastal hills of the Palos Verdes peninsula (about 25 miles southwest of downtown Los Angeles). To play on the steep terrain of Palos Verdes you need to know how to hit shots from all kinds of different lies.
