Hello, everyone.

I'm in southern California this week preparing for our second major of the year next week. I wasn't very pleased with my performance last week at the Memorial. I just couldn't get the putter going and my stats reflected it. I'm back to the basics this week with my short game and it's feeling more routine.

The European Tour's Celtic Manor Wales Open is being contested this week At Celtic Manor Resort, site of this year's upcoming Ryder Cup matches.  Always one of the premier tournaments on the European Tour, this year's Wales Open has an added sense of gravity as a field full of prospective Ryder Cup players hopes to impress European Captain Colin Montgomery with strong play on the layout that we'll see in early October. Our friends from Titleist-Europe have shared the following revealing update:

#1 BALL, IRON, WEDGE and PUTTER: According to the Darrell Survey, Titleist was the overwhelming GOLF BALL of choice at the Melwood Prince George's County Open with 96 players, four times the nearest competitor with 24.  Titleist was also first in IRON SETS with 39; SAND, LOB and APPROACH WEDGES with 172; and PUTTERS with 64.

I'm looking forward to teeing it up this week. I've always enjoyed playing at Muirfield Village. It's a special week playing for one of the greatest legends of our sport and it's an honor to be back here this year. Jack Nicklaus created this tournament in 1976 and has worked tirelessly to make it one of the most prominent stops on the TOUR.
