From the LPGA Championship - Toughening Things Up for a Major
Posted: June 23, 2010
Note to the LPGA's best: Expect a stern test this week in upstate New York.
Titleist Staff Professional Steve Barber, Head PGA Professional at Locust Hill Country Club in Pittsford, N.Y., site of this week's LPGA Championship, discussed with Team Titleist the differences in course setup when it comes to hosting a major championship. (Locust Hill hosted the Wegmans LPGA tour stop from 1977-2009.)
And he only used words and phrases like "lengthened," "narrowed in," "different" and "pretty interesting."
Barber also offered a prediction as to Sunday's winning total (Hint: It's less than 20 under).
What's your guess?
