Team Titleist would like to wish a big Happy Birthday to master craftsman Bob Vokey, whose Vokey Design wedges are the overwhelming favorite each week among PGA Tour players.
Vokey joined Titleist in 1996, where his first project was assisting with the final specifications of the popular Titleist Titanium 975D driver. He now relies on both old-fashioned hand skills and high-tech R&D to design and develop the game's finest wedges.
Vokey's wedges have been used in 18 major championship victories since 1997.

As much as I wanted to play the game, I realized my strength was in learning about golf clubs, re-shafting them, designing them and making them. - Bob Vokey

Master craftsman Bob Vokey is hanging out at the Home of Golf this week, trying to keep dry like everyone else.
As you might expect, he's also been pretty busy helping players prepare for the windy, bouncy Open links.
Click the image below to check out pictures from Vokey's first few days at St. Andrews.
It's been an interesting day here at St. Andrews. Winds are
howling and the rain is finally here... it's actually horizontal, yes,
the rain! I was able to get some practice in before the bloody weather
took a turn for the worse. Course is going to play a lot longer for our
opening round tomorrow. Forecast indicates that it's not supposed to let
up anytime soon. I guess the good thing is that we are all faced with
the same challenges. We'll just wait and see how much play we get in
tomorrow. I had a great time in Ireland at the JP McManus
Pro-Am last week. It was a good couple of days and the hospitality was
first class. Thanks to everyone that was a part of JP's team. I flew to
St. Andrews on Wednesday morning last week and had a few good days of
practice. It helps to come to a course a little early and get some
practice in before the media and spectators arrive. This is where our
sport began and it's such a special place. It's very rich in history and
you can feel it when you're here. I am having a low-key
evening and will get to bed early. Tee time is 1:42pm local time. I'm
feeling good and looking to get off to a good start tomorrow! For more

Until next time, take care.- Adam

The Scottish gales coming in off the turbulent North Sea Wednesday in St. Andrews are doing nothing to dampen the spirits of Titleist Brand Ambassador Jason Bohn, who is at the Home of Golf for the first time in his life.Bohn, winner of this year's Zurich Classic of New Orleans, is also playing this week in his first Open Championship, an experience the 37-year-old has already called "truly one of the highlights of my career."Check out the videos below for Jason's first impressions of the Old Course, along with an interesting fact about St. Andrews that you might not know...
