Master craftsman Bob Vokey is hanging out at the Home of Golf this week, trying to keep dry like everyone else.
As you might expect, he's also been pretty busy helping players prepare for the windy, bouncy Open links.
Click the image below to check out pictures from Vokey's first few days at St. Andrews.
It's been an interesting day here at St. Andrews. Winds are
howling and the rain is finally here... it's actually horizontal, yes,
the rain! I was able to get some practice in before the bloody weather
took a turn for the worse. Course is going to play a lot longer for our
opening round tomorrow. Forecast indicates that it's not supposed to let
up anytime soon. I guess the good thing is that we are all faced with
the same challenges. We'll just wait and see how much play we get in
tomorrow. I had a great time in Ireland at the JP McManus
Pro-Am last week. It was a good couple of days and the hospitality was
first class. Thanks to everyone that was a part of JP's team. I flew to
St. Andrews on Wednesday morning last week and had a few good days of
practice. It helps to come to a course a little early and get some
practice in before the media and spectators arrive. This is where our
sport began and it's such a special place. It's very rich in history and
you can feel it when you're here. I am having a low-key
evening and will get to bed early. Tee time is 1:42pm local time. I'm
feeling good and looking to get off to a good start tomorrow! For more
news on The Open follow my page on Facebook (adamscott_golf).
Until next time, take care.- Adam

#1 BALL, IRON, WEDGE and PUTTER: According to the Darrell Survey, Titleist was the overwhelming GOLF BALL of
choice at the Reno-Tahoe Open with 80 players, more than four times the nearest competitor with 18. Titleist was also first in IRON SETS with 31; SAND, LOB and APPROACH WEDGES with 130; and PUTTERS with 58.
The Scottish gales coming in off the turbulent North Sea Wednesday in St. Andrews are doing nothing to dampen the spirits of Titleist Brand Ambassador Jason Bohn, who is at the Home of Golf for the first time in his life.Bohn, winner of this year's Zurich Classic of New Orleans, is also playing this week in his first Open Championship, an experience the 37-year-old has already called "truly one of the highlights of my career."Check out the videos below for Jason's first impressions of the Old Course, along with an interesting fact about St. Andrews that you might not know...
A fun fact:
Tell us which Titleist player you think will finish highest on the famed leaderboard of the Open Championship at the Old Course this week and you'll have a chance at winning an autographed hat from Adam Scott or Steve Stricker.
TO ENTER: CLICK HERE and reply to the Team Titleist forum thread entitled "Exclusive Team Titleist Sweepstakes. Enter to Win!" with the name of the Titleist player you think will post the best score and stand apart from the rest of the field once the final putt has dropped. It's pretty simple and we'll be randomly selecting two (2) lucky winners who pick the right Titleist player, so don't forget to make your pick.
Just a few ground rules: • All entries must be in before 11:00pm EDT on Wednesday, July 14, 2010. Any entries submitted after this time will not be entered into the sweepstakes. • You can only submit one entry. If you submit multiple entries, you will be disqualified (sorry) • You must select a player who is a Titleist equipment player. Any non-Titleist player entries will be disregarded. Click here for a full list of Titleist players. • If more than one person picks the same top Titleist finisher, we will randomly draw the two (2) winners from those entries • If multiple Titleist players are tied as the top finishers, we will include all entries that selected the tied players in the random drawing • Prizes will be randomly assigned and we will notify winners regarding which hat they have won.
*Contest is only open to U.S. residents
