Video: Grinding with Bob Vokey at the PGA Championship

While roaming the grounds at Whistling Straits last week, Team Titleist received the following text message from one of our Tour Reps inside the Titleist Tour Van: "Voke is on the grinders."

Of course, we did our best not to trip in any bunkers as we rushed back to the Van to catch the Master Craftsman in action.

(Note: Since Voke's on the grinder, you might want to turn your volume down a bit...)

I am a teaching professional and have utilized your wedges for many years but, have added  mid-size grips before use.  Most amateurs don't know that this will help to keep their wrist action to a minimum (a definite plus when attempting wedge shots).  Most golfers are looking for game improvement tools in their least costly forms.  Having to pay for a grip in addition to the cost of a wedge is not ideal for the average golfer, especially in a tough economy.

I would like to hear your opinion.

Love your wedges, they're the best of the best. how do you keep coming up with innovative designs when bringing a new product to the market? It seems like a wedge is a wedge is a wedge, but you keep coming out with new innovative product.

has it ever been considered to leave the surface finish of the steel rough, or even allow it to rust, to enhance "bite" on the ball?

I love your wedges. I've always loved a wedge that I can open 45 degree and it sits right on a tight fairway. No bounce or "air" between the leading edge of the face and the ground. Where can I purchase your wedges with this set up? Can i order them custom grind from your operation?  Not a pro. Scratch golfer but don't know where to buy your clubs the way I want them!  Thank you.  Kevin

I wish that titleist would realize the desire for a straight leading edge option.  Obviously this is what he is doing here is taking the roundness off the leading edge which many better players do not like looking at.

Please ask Voke to use proper eye protection when he is working with grinders.  I know he is good, but we don't want him to get hurt.  Thanks
