Ten loyal Team Titleist members stood in the lobby of Titleist Ball Plant 3 earlier this month wearing Titleist hats and eager grins, unsure of their schedule for the day, but certain it was going to be a great one.A couple weeks earlier, e-mails notifying them of their invitation to an "Exclusive Team Titleist Member Event" hit their in-boxes. A few of the members said "it sounded too good to be true."
It turned out to be "unbelievable," according to Team Titleist Member Kevin Yalmokas. "It was superb. Unbelievable," he said. "It was an unbelievable day."
The experience started with a behind-the-scenes tour of Titleist Golf Ball Plant 3 in New Bedford, Mass., where the Titleist Pro V1, Pro V1x and NXT Tour golf balls are produced. The tour of of the facility, which is not offered to the general public, featured a step-by-step view into the making of the #1 ball in golf and showcased the technological advances that Titleist has made in golf ball design and development."It's incredible how they put all that technology into it and then you see the finished the product," said Team Titleist member Don Daniels. "It's just, wow."
From there, the Team Titleist members hopped on a shuttle to Titleist's Manchester Lane Test Facility, where Titleist conducts golf ball research, development and testing. After touring the facility (which included a look at the robotic golf ball hitting machine in action), the members went through a Titleist Performance Golf Ball Fitting at Manchester Lane's short game area and participated in a closest-to-the-pin competition for some unique Titleist prizes including a custom "Team Titleist" stamped WedgeWorks Exclusives wedge.
The final couple of hours were spent on Manchester Lane's driving range, where each member was able to test the new Titleist 910 prototype drivers, which are currently only available to professional golfers on the worldwide tours as part of Titleist's performance-validation process.Check out the video and slideshow below for an inside look at the entire day.

So we know you're probably asking, "How do I get invited to an event like this?" Well, the more you participate and the more engaged you are with Team Titleist, from posting in the forums and adding blog comments to completing your profile, the better your chances are at potentially opening the doors to Team Titleist rewards, including the opportunity to participate in product testing panels, take part in exclusive sweepstakes and attend one-of-a-kind events. We're excited to offer more of these Team Titleist perks in the future to our most dedicated members and want to know what other opportunities you would like to see.

Truly amazing how much effort is put into the everyday golf ball we use.

I've been using Titleist products almost exclusively and have never been disappointed. As much as I am anxious to try the new 910, it's going to be tough to get my 907 out of my bag.
The fact that the ball manufacturing operation is right here in the USA has not gone unnoticed either.
Thumbs up to you for another job well done!

Have played several rounds with the test balls, hitting it long, hole number 18 at the club I play at has an area where you can hit it over the lake. To clear the water is 230 yards. Last week I thought I would try to hit it over the lake, cleared the lake by 30 yds. Made birdie. Have never done that before!!!!

Being selected by Titleist to attend this Exclusive Event would no doubt be the highlight of any golfer's sporting life. Although they had to be a bit nervous upon arrival, I'm confident the Titleist folks were immediately the finest of hosts. What a nice gesture by Titleist. Good luck to all of us Team Titleist members in 2011 with our hopes of a lucky such selection!!

This sounds like a great opportunity to see the factory, how golf ball is made, and of course being able to test new equipment. Count me in!!

Back in October 2010, I recieved via mail a sleeve of Titleist Balls marked Test.
As I reside in New York, I couldn't play these balls as my golf season had wound down.
Now that I am at my winter home in Arizona, I got the chance to use them and do an evaluation. But I cannot find any place on your websight to do an evaluation.
Is this still being conducted, or should I just disregard it.
Thanks,
Jack Ritter

Great story about the Titleist ball facility.
Was wondering if anyone has tested the new Callaway i(S) ball? I was at the Bob Hope Classic PGA event this week and tested a bunch of equipment. Callaway gave me a sleeve of their new tour ball. Tried it this week and found it to be a pretty good ball. Interesstingly, it wears very, very well. I have 3 rounds on one ball and it still looks brand new. Comments?

The quality of Titleist products are plainly evidenced by one fact: The turnover of employees - Very, very few people working for Titleist leave - Why? Great working conditions crafting a leading product with heart dedication and team work resulting in prideful ownership of a great mission! Congrats to Acushenet andTitleist.I remain a loyal users of many of their products...

That sounds like a GREAT experience...I was recently fortunate enough to recieve 1 sleeve (3 balls) of Prototype golf balls from Titleist to test out and had a blast doing so. I would be EXTREMELY greatful to continue testing all types of Prototype products for, in my opinion, the GREATEST golf brand in the world. So what do you say Titlieist? When can I start? ha
