A buzz has emerged this week in the locker room and on the range at Sea Island Golf Club in St. Simons, Ga., home of the PGA Tour's inaugural McGladrey Classic, thanks to the return of the plain white golf ball boxes. To tour players, that means only one thing: New product from the #1 ball in golf. And not just any new product, either. Meet the next generation Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls.
After many prototypes and months of successful R&D testing with PGA Tour players, the new Pro V1 and Pro V1x seeding process began in earnest on Monday as players arrived at Sea Island to find Titleist Golf Ball R&D fitting experts Fordie Pitts and Jeff Beyers armed with white boxes and ready to conduct on-course evaluations with many of the world's best golfers.
This is a critical step in the golf ball fitting process as it allows tour players to compare the new Pro V1 and Pro V1x to the golf ball they currently put in play. While walking the course with the players and observing them hit multiple shots with each of the golf balls, Pitts and Beyers are able to help fit the players with the golf ball best suited for their game. Team Titleist tagged along on Tuesday with Pitts and Beyers as they walked the fairways and greens with Titleist Brand Ambassadors Troy Matteson and Bo Van Pelt, and golf ball loyalists Charlie Wi and Dean Wilson, among others. There was a lot of great discussion between the players and our experts as the on-course session included in-depth reviews of the features and benefits as the players put the new golf balls through their paces.
Stay tuned for more information about the new Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls as the Fall Series continues on the PGA Tour, and the new product gets seeded on the professional tours around the world.

I tested them and LOVED them. Will be buying them when they hit the shelves. GREAT BALL. Putts great, is long off the tee and spins great. Cover holds up well also.

Look great - Feel great.......Shot 31 on the back!!!!

I have tested them and do agree with most comments. I feel they are a little shorter off the tee for the loger hitters but there is less spin, so a little more control. Mid irons=perfect combination! I still dont get more than one round (sometimes less) out of one ball, those vokey wedges take care of that! Good ball though, they will sell!

I've heard that they have incredible spin when played right. I would love to take a shot of the tee with them. How can I get a box.

If these were the ones I tested. I am getting on line to buy ASAP!
Great balls.

I participated in the Demo and the balls performed better than anything out there. I also enjoyed the durability of the ball.

Been playing Titleist since the rubber wound/liquid center/balata cover days and the Club Special golf balls. I play the ProV1x...it's quite a ball. For as long as I've been playing golf, my most memorable rounds, most memorable shots, and lowest scoring rounds have been made with Titleist golf balls, Titleist golf clubs or both. Why? I don't know. I don't work for Titleist, I don't own stock in the company, but through the years, I'm happily reconciled to what works for me. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on a dozen ProV1x's and see how they play...ought to be some kind of fun.

I was fortunate enough to play the new Pro V1, and I can't wait until I can purchase this ball. The test ball performed exceptionally well in some very windy conditions. I found this ball to be longer, holds well in the wind and great spin and control on the greens.

same i would love to try the new balls. Currently play the pro v1x and they are by far the best alongside the pro v1's the best ball in the market

I have played a research and development ball and I loved the feel and durability and the manner it felt off the putter. I even had someone ask me if I knew exactly what the change was and to be honest only Titleist knows. I do know though that the longer I play this product the better my confidence and dependability on the product. I am not sure if I can compliment Titleist any higher. I will play Titleist the rest of my golf life.

I believe that the testers for those new balls should be sent a dozen to play during the year.
Thanks,
