Titleist Brand Ambassador Adam Scott Earns Second Victory of 2010 with Titleist 910 Driver, Bag Full of Titleist Equipment

Titleist Brand Ambassador Adam Scott won his third Barclays Singapore Open this weekend with precision swings, a Titleist Pro V1 golf ball and a bag full of Titleist equipment – including the new Titleist 910 driver, which begins shipping to golf shops worldwide this week.
Scott used a Titleist 910D3 10.5 model with a Proforce V2 86 shaft and the SureFit Tour hosel in the A•1 position (standard loft, standard lie) and hit 73.2 of his fairways for the week at Sentosa Golf Club, which ranked fifth. He was also third in greens in regulation (84.7 percent) and fourth in putts per green in regulation (1.7).
Scott also had in his bag a new Titleist 910Fd 15.0 prototype fairway metal with a Rombax Pro95 shaft and the SFT hosel in the C•2 position (-.75 less loft, +.75 upright), marking the first victory for the 910Fd model on the worldwide professional tours.
In the end, Scott was the only player to finish all four rounds at Sentosa Golf Club in the 60s, posting scores of 65-65-69-68 for a 17-under 267 total and three-shot victory. His final-round 68 included two birdies over his final four holes, including a 25-footer for birdie on the par-5 18th.
After watching his Pro V1 golf ball break slightly left and drop into the bottom of the cup, Scott threw both of his arms into the air, celebrating his second victory of the year and 17th overall as a professional. Scott, who moved to 20th in the world ranking, also won in May at the PGA Tour's Valero Texas Open, where he closed in 67 for a one-shot victory.
“It feels great,” said Scott, who earned back-to-back Barclays Singapore Open victories in 2005 and 2006. “Relief to finally get finished, it’s been a bit of a long week. I’m very happy to be winning here again."
Scott was one of 128 players in the field that trusted a Titleist golf ball, more than four times the nearest competitor with 28.

Scott's victory was one of four on the weekend for Titleist Brand Ambassadors and golf ball loyalists. In 2010, Titleist golf ball players have recorded 139 total victories across the worldwide professional tours, over 100 more than the nearest competitor with 23:
• PGA TOUR: Pro V1 loyalist Robert Garrigus closed out the 2010 PGA Tour season with a final-round 8-under 64 at Walt Disney World's Magnolia Course to come from behind and win the Children's Miracle Classic by three shots over Pro V1x loyalist Roland Thatcher.
Both players, however, accomplished the same goal in securing their 2011 PGA Tour cards.
Garrigus began the week at No. 122 on the money list, knowing a bad week would knock him out of the top 125. His victorious 21-under 267 total vaulted him to No. 51, earning him full playing privileges for the next two seasons and a trip to the Hyundai Tournament of Champions at Kapalua in January.
“It feels great to be able to close this one off," said Garrigus.
Thatcher entered the week at No. 179, needing to either win or finish solo second to keep his full-time job for next season. His final-round 2-under 70 was good enough for an 18-under 270 total – one shot ahead of Titleist Brand Ambassadors Rickie Fowler and Johnson Wagner and Pro V1x loyalist Spencer Levin – and moved him safely to No. 122.
Of the 11 players who finished among the top 10 and ties, nine trusted a Titleist golf ball for their success. In total, 89 players put Titleist golf balls in play at the Children's Miracle Network Classic, more than six times the nearest competitor with 14. Titleist also was first in iron sets (34); Sand, Lob and Approach Wedges (105); and Putters (60).
Thatcher joined Pro V1x loyalist Mark Wilson and Titleist Brand Ambassador Michael Connell as the only players to play their way into the top 125 on the final weekend.
Titleist Brand Ambassador Troy Merritt left Disney with lots of relief and rewards, after closing with a bogey-free 67 to finish at 8-under 280 and tie for 30th. That left Merritt on the number at No. 125 on the money list, allowing him punctuate one of the more exciting stories of the year.
Merritt also topped Fowler and Pro V1x loyalist Aaron Baddeley in a three-way playoff to win the $1 million Kodak Challenge, hitting his 133-yard approach shot into the Magnolia's difficult par-4 17th to inches.
"Well, the first thing I'm going to do is buy my wife a new car," Merrit said.
• LPGA: In-Kyung Kim captured the Lorena Ochoa Invitational for her third career LPGA title, rolling in her Pro V1 golf ball for birdie on 18 for an 8-under 64 and three-shot victory.
Kim, who finished at 19-under 269 at Mexico's Guadalajara Country Club, announced upon winning that she would be donating her entire $220,000 winner's check to charity.
"Well, I don't know how to really take this all in," she said. "But it's been a great week. I mean, on the golf course, I played very good golf all week. The putts pretty much kept dropping today."
Kim was one of 24 players in the 36-player field that trusted a Titleist golf ball, more than all other golf balls combined. Of the 12 players who finished among the top 10 and ties, eight trusted a Titleist golf ball for their success.
• SUNSHINE TOUR: It was an all-Titleist Pro V1x playoff at the Sunshine Tour's BMG Classic, where Brandon Pieters made par on the first playoff hole to top Ben Mannix. Pieters and Mannix each finished regulation at 11-under 205.
Titleist was the top golf ball choice at the event with 105 players, more than all other competitors combined.
• JAPAN TOUR: Titleist was the overwhelming golf ball of choice at the Mitsui Sumitomo Visa Taiheiyo Masters with 37 players, compared to 19 for the nearest competitor.
• AUSTRALASIAN TOUR: Titleist was the overwhelming golf ball of choice at the JBWere Masters with 80 percent of the field (96 of 120 players), more than seven times the nearest competitor with 13 players. Eight of the 12 players who finished among the top 10 and ties trusted Titleist golf balls for their success.
