The Waste Management Phoenix Open is underway at a chilly TPC Scottsdale, where the first two days in the desert have begun with an unfamiliar notice: Frost delay.
That is to say nothing about the temperature inside the ropes, however, considering the first-round 6-under 65s of Titleist Brand Ambassadors Bill Haas, Jason Bohn and Tom Gillis, who combined for 19 birdies and only one bogey Thursday afternoon.
We're happy to report that Mother Nature also plans on turning up the heat this weekend, which is good news for Team Titleist members Greg D. and Sean L., who won tickets to the event through Team Titleist and will be on hand as New Pro V1x loyalist Hunter Mahan (pictured above) tries to successfully defend his 2010 title.
In total, 91 players in this week's field are trusting Titleist golf balls for their success, more than eight times the nearest competitor with 11 and more than all other competitors combined.
Titleist is also first in Iron Sets (40), Sand, Lob and Approach Wedges (114) and Putters (53).
