Bob, I'm a big Dave Pelz fan and use his 3 X 4 system emphatically from 120 yards in and bounce is a big issue with me. Can you explain what is the best bounce in some detail as far as from the fairway as compared to out of the rough...tight lies compared to thick lies?

I get this question frequently; If I want to buy a 60 degree wedge that will serve me equally well from the fairway or bunker how much bounce should I have?  thanks.

Ronald H

Hi Bob Vokey, I was wonder which  bounce is good for hard ground golf course where I play mostly of the time. Since I am left hand golfer, who play with alot of wredge games. I have 52 ,56 spin mill,60 spin mill and also have 64 spin mill wedge, I only use the 64 loft when i play on Pete Dye or P.B . Dye golf course.  I only bought the left wedge with only bounce that you have. I know there are you type of golfer are digger or slider. I play either way whatever the ball laid down.

Thank You, Ron Harvey

Hey Bob,

I'm a 13 year old golfer with an 11 handicap but I want to work in the golf club processing business if I don't go pro. Golf is a great sport and I want to be involved with it any way I can so I was wondering how you got into making clubs and now being one of the most well-known and respected club makers there are.

HI Bob, I just ordered a new set of irons and will be purchasing some wedges very soon. This will be the last set of irons I will ever buy and are custom fit, length, lie etc. How important is it to buy wedges that are also custom fit? The pitching wedge in the set is 46 deg, 1 deg flat. What wedges should I order "thinking three" as to how much bounce and what loft?

What is the relative importance of the surface finish on the face of a wedge compared to the grooves in the face?

Hello Mr. Vokey,

First of all I would like to say I LOVE the wedges. My question for you is what type of work do you do with the pros from a week to week basis? Is it more of getting feedback? or are you fitting them for awesome new wedges? Secondly what has inspired you to pursue wedgeworks?

why the differences in sand wedge soles.. .how can you determine which degree of  bounce you need on your sand wedge ?
